proverbs 4:20-23   

20 My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. 
21 Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; 
22 for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body. 
23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
 
 
Your children are part of your body.  If you want to really help them, then get to know God better through His Word, the Bible.  Focus on the Lord and not on what your children are doing that upset you.  You shall be blessed because you are focusing on God, and not on your children. The goodness of God draws people to repentance.  Let your children see the goodness of God working in your life, and they will be helped and blessed through your actions towards God.

Thank you for sharing this and agreed! No, my children didn't do anything that upset me. They fill us with great joy. I just want to thank God for guiding them rightly so far and want His help to keep them on the right path. I feel that prayers have an accumulated effect and that it's okay to pray 'ahead of time' because God is the God of space and time.
