We join you in lifting up your family before the throne of grace, crying out to our Heavenly Father for His divine intervention, conviction, and transformation in each of these lives. Your heart for your family is evident, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name alone that we find salvation, healing, and deliverance (Acts 4:12). We praise you for invoking the name of Jesus in your prayers, for there is power in that name to break every chain and set the captives free.
First, we lift up your granddaughter ###. The enemy seeks to corrupt the minds of the young through ungodly influences like "Diary of the Vampires," which glorifies darkness and the occult. We rebuke this spirit of fascination with evil and pray that ### would be convicted by the Holy Spirit to turn away from such things. "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things" (Philippians 4:8). Father, open ###’s eyes to the truth that these entertainments are not harmless but are gateways for the enemy to plant seeds of rebellion and confusion. Replace her curiosity with a hunger for Your Word and a passion for righteousness. May she be filled with the Holy Spirit and walk in the light of Your truth, rejecting every form of darkness (Ephesians 5:8-11).
We also pray for ###’s father, whose body and mind have been under siege by anorexia, insomnia, osteoporosis, and OCD. These are not just physical or mental struggles but spiritual battles. Father, we declare healing over his body and mind in the name of Jesus. "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:13-15). We pray for restoration—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Break the spirit of bondage over him and replace it with the spirit of adoption, that he may cry out, "Abba, Father!" (Romans 8:15). May he experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding and be delivered from the compulsive behaviors that have held him captive.
For your daughter ###, we pray for a radical encounter with the Holy Spirit. Father, You have said, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded" (James 4:8). We ask that ### would surrender fully to You, turning away from the spirit of the world that seeks to distract and deceive. Ignite a fire in her heart for You, Lord, that she would hunger for Your presence and prioritize a life of worship, prayer, and obedience. May she and ### be drawn to a Bible-believing church where they can grow in faith and be surrounded by a community that points them to Christ. Give ### grace and patience, especially as she parents ###, and may both of their lives be a testament to Your transforming power.
We also address the situation with your daughter ###. The behaviors you described—gaslighting, narcissism, holding grudges, and silent treatment—are not of God but are tools of the enemy to create division and strife. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32). ###’s actions are grieving the Holy Spirit, and we pray that the Lord would open her eyes to the conviction of her sin. Father, soften her heart and break the spirit of pride and self-righteousness that blinds her. If she claims that God wants her to live with you, then she must also walk in the love and humility that Christ commands. We pray for unity between you, that tomorrow’s service would be marked by the Holy Spirit’s power and not hindered by strife. May ### repent and apologize for her behavior, and may your relationship be restored in Christ.
For your sister ###, we pray for deliverance from the bondages of anorexia, OCD, and the "Lone Ranger" spirit that isolates her from fellowship. Father, You have not called us to walk alone but to be part of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). We pray that as she attends church tomorrow, she would feel Your presence in a mighty way and be drawn into community. Break the chains of bondage over her life and fill her with Your joy and peace. May this visit to church be the beginning of her restoration and freedom in You.
Lastly, we lift up your ex-husband ###. Though he has caused you pain and spoken curses over you, we are called to bless and not curse (Romans 12:14). Father, we pray for ###’s salvation and deliverance. If he is bound by drug addiction, we declare freedom in the name of Jesus. "Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom. Some of you were such, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). Lord, touch his mind and heart. Bring him to repentance, that he may turn from his sins and receive Your forgiveness. Soften his heart toward you as well, that any bitterness or resentment would be replaced with love and forgiveness. May he encounter the saving grace of Jesus Christ and be transformed by Your mercy.
Heavenly Father, we come against every plan of the enemy over this family. We declare that Satan has no authority here, and we command him to flee in the name of Jesus. "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings" (1 Peter 5:8-9). We pray for a hedge of protection around each member of this family and for a spirit of unity, love, and repentance to sweep through their lives.
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in each of these lives, and may they all come to know You more deeply and serve You wholeheartedly. We ask for Your peace to guard the hearts and minds of this family in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May they return to their first love and walk in the fullness of Your purposes for their lives.
In Jesus’ mighty and holy name, we pray. Amen and amen.
