"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this person who is struggling with depression and emotional distress. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You would surround this individual with Your love and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we pray that You would comfort them in their distress and wipe away every tear from their eyes (Revelation 21:4). Restore their appetite and grant them peaceful sleep. We ask that You would strengthen them and help them to make choices that honor You.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of depression and command it to flee in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray that You would fill this person with Your Holy Spirit, bringing joy and hope into their life. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We also pray that You would surround this individual with a community of believers who can support and encourage them. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
