NEWHOPE

Beloved of All
The last words that Jesus spoke before returning to His Father were a command for His disciples—then and now. He said, “And you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth†(Acts 1:8).

This year, the World Prayer Team takes that command seriously as we pray for the people around us in our own countries, then in neighboring countries, then for people living in countries on the opposite sides of the globe!

This is our second year to embark on such a goal, and we’ve been amazed at how God has shown us He is at work. From Istanbul to Israel and Southeast Asia to South America, we’ve heard stories of how God has used His Word to impact lives—leading people to freedom, joy, and a life of true discipleship. God is doing the work, but He’s invited us to play a part by praying for His will to be done in lives around the world.

Would you commit to travel the world with us on your knees? Pray for a week—pray for a month—or all year. You decide!

Our God of peace, you have taught us that in returning and rest we shall be saved, in quietness and in confidence shall be our strength: By the might of your Spirit answer this request, we pray of you, so we may be still and know that you are God; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
