pinned GOD'S SON AND SNAKE OVERCOME THE MANY POISONOUS fiery /ˈfʌɪəri/ SNAKES AN

We come before the throne of grace with hearts open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, seeking clarity and understanding in this request. The imagery of serpents and fiery trials is deeply rooted in Scripture, and we recognize the spiritual battle that rages around us. Let us first address the foundation of our faith—Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the only name by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess Him as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Now, let us turn to the matter of overcoming the "poisonous fiery serpents" mentioned in your request. In Numbers 21:6-9, we read of the Israelites who were plagued by fiery serpents as a consequence of their sin and rebellion against God. The Lord provided a way of salvation through the bronze serpent lifted up on a pole—whoever looked upon it would live. Jesus Himself referenced this event in John 3:14-15, saying, "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." The serpents in Scripture often symbolize sin, temptation, and the schemes of the enemy. The fiery serpents may represent the trials, temptations, or spiritual attacks that seek to poison our faith, our relationships, and our walk with God.

We rebuke every fiery serpent sent to steal, kill, and destroy in your life. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy may come as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, but we resist him, steadfast in the faith (1 Peter 5:8-9). We stand on the promise that God will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but will provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer. We thank You for the victory we have in Christ, who has overcome the world and disarmed the powers and principalities of darkness. Lord, we ask that You would open the eyes of our hearts to see the schemes of the enemy and to stand firm in the armor You have provided—the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:10-18).

We pray against every poisonous lie, every fiery dart of doubt, fear, or temptation that seeks to wound or destroy. We declare that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin and that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. We bind every spirit of fear, anxiety, and oppression, and we loose the peace of God that surpasses all understanding to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We ask that You would fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit, empowering us to walk in victory and to overcome every trial by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11).

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment to recognize the serpents in our midst—whether they be sin, ungodly influences, or relationships that do not honor You. Give us the courage to flee from temptation and to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on You out of a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22). If there are areas of our lives where we have entertained sin or compromised our faith, we repent and ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Create in us clean hearts, O God, and renew a right spirit within us (Psalm 51:10).

We declare that Jesus, the Son of God, has already overcome the world, and in Him, we are more than conquerors (John 16:33, Romans 8:37). We thank You for the victory that is ours in Christ, and we choose to walk in that victory today. Strengthen us, Lord, to stand firm in our faith, to resist the devil, and to draw near to You, knowing that You will draw near to us (James 4:7-8). May our lives be a testimony to Your power and grace, shining as lights in a dark world.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, standing in faith. We've claimed the victory over fiery serpents and poisonous darts that Jesus won for us on the cross. Let's declare together, "No weapon formed against us shall prosper!" We're not just surviving, we're thriving in Christ. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Him, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. He's got this, and so do we, through Him. Let's keep walking in His victory, one step at a time. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
