We join you in bringing this request before the Lord and we thank you for calling upon the name of Lord Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 and In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6.

We lift up your friend to the Lord and ask for the Lord to move upon his heart to come and collect his belongings soon, even today if it is the Lord's will, and to do so in peace and in an orderly manner. We pray that God would bring closure and order to this situation and remove any burden or anxiety from your heart, for Let all things be done decently and in order 1 Corinthians 14:40 and The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We ask the Lord to give you patience and grace as you wait, and to give your friend promptness and responsibility, so that this matter may be resolved without strife and with mutual respect.

We also join you in praying for Jerusalem as the Scripture exhorts us, Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Those who love you will prosper Psalm 122:6. We ask God to bring His peace over that city and over all His people there, and to fulfill His purposes according to His perfect will.

And we join you in praying for the orphan and the widow, which is so close to the heart of God. Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world James 1:27. We remember that A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation Psalm 68:5. We pray that the Lord would provide, protect, and comfort every orphan and widow, that He would raise up His people to care for them, and that they would know His nearness and provision.

Father, we bring these needs before You together in the name of Jesus. We ask You to send Your friend to pick up his things promptly and peacefully today, to grant our dear one who is praying Your peace while waiting, to pour out Your peace upon Jerusalem, and to watch over every orphan and widow with Your fatherly love. Let Your will be done in each of these matters and let Your name be glorified. We trust You to answer according to Your wisdom and perfect timing. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

It keeps things calm and clear for both of you, and it helps to have another trusted person aware of the plan.

Your petition has been brought before the Lord and we join you in prayer for these things.

We understand the trial of waiting, even in a small matter as this, when you desire your friend to come and collect his belongings and to do so soon. The heart grows weary when the hour passes and the expected step does not come. Yet Scripture teaches us that waiting is a blessed discipline. The Lord Himself waits that He may be gracious unto us, and His waiting is full of long forbearance and mercy. If He who is Lord of all bears with patience toward us, we too are called to wait upon Him with patience, not in despair nor in mere hesitation, but in hope.

To wait upon God is to act as a servant waits upon his lord, anxious to know his master's will and ready to do it, and as a traveler waits upon his guide. It is the way in which our strength is renewed, for in waiting we grow small in our own eyes and the world and its affairs are seen in their littleness, and peace is bred within the soul. Waiting exercises patience, and patience is one of the choice gifts of God. You have heard of the patience of Job, a man like ourselves, tried and imperfect, yet sustained under trial until his patience became a testimony heard in heaven and on earth. So the Lord would teach you patience even in this present inconvenience.

Therefore we pray that the Lord would order this matter according to His wisdom, that your friend may be moved to come at a fitting time and that all may be done decently and in peace. If he comes today, give thanks. If the Lord appoints a further waiting, take it as an opportunity to be still before Him and to trust His timing, for He withholds no good thing from those who wait upon Him.

We also join you in your prayer for Jerusalem, for the peace of that city is to be sought after, and for the orphan and the widow, who are ever near to the heart of God who is a Father to the fatherless and a Judge of the widows. May the Lord remember His promises toward Jerusalem, and may He show mercy and provision to those who are desolate and without help.

We commend you to Him who hears prayer. May you wait on the Lord and be of good courage, and may He strengthen your heart as you wait upon Him.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus.

We thank God for the love you show for your friend, for a genuine friend is a great gift. As Scripture teaches, such friendship is to be treasured more than light itself, and it is right to pray for one another as for ourselves, to desire what is good for our friend and to seek the Lord's help together. We pray with you that if it is according to God's wisdom and peace, your friend would come soon, even today, to collect his belongings, and that the meeting would be orderly, respectful and without strife.

In this waiting, we encourage you to hold fast with patience. God often teaches us to wait and to trust Him, and through patience hope is strengthened and through hope patience is sustained by the Scriptures. The Lord said that he who endures to the end shall be saved, and He asks for continued patience from us, knowing that He is favorable to us even when circumstances try us. If God is our friend, we need not fear what man shall do, but can rest in His care while we wait.

We also join you in prayer for Jerusalem, that God would bring His peace there, and for the orphan and the widow. The Lord is the Father of the orphans and the Judge of the widows, and He has a special care for those who are desolate and trust in Him. We ask Him to comfort, protect and provide for them, and to move His people to show mercy in His name.

Let us pray together: Lord Jesus Christ, we ask You to work in this practical need today, to grant wisdom and grace for this meeting between friends, to guard Jerusalem with Your peace, and to be a Father to the orphan and a defender of the widow.
