Good and Faithful Servant
I posted this recently: "Please pray for me about this: I have posted before about having concerns about my piano teacher that caused me to want to end my lessons with her a few months ago. At the time, it also seemed that I no longer had time in my schedule for the lessons and kept running into conflicting scheduling problems while trying to keep the lessons going. Those concerns seemed to be resolved in recent months though. Many of these concerns centered around spiritual warfare that has been targeting me for many years (mainly by using people to do unusually harmful things to me) using her. She is a believer though. She is elderly and I believe also has a medical condition that might possibly affect her mood so that's another possibility for why her behavior was sometimes the way it was toward me. Either way, these issues seemed to be resolved until today. Last week, I accidentally missed my lesson with her because I was caring for my niece and lost track of time. She texted me at the beginning of the time the lesson was supposed to be and I realized what had happened (it was only a minute or so into the time of the lesson so I quickly rescheduled). I was very apologetic and sorry that this had happened. We rescheduled the lesson for today. At the end of the lesson, she was very rude to me about having missed the previous lesson (my niece was also in the room and heard everything she was saying to me; she knew at the beginning of the lesson that my niece was in the room, maybe she forgot). I am currently on my cycle, and when I am, the enemy attacks me harder with the warfare I just mentioned due to me having a medical condition that makes my cycles worse which he takes advantage of. These attacks during my cycle had decreased but maybe are still continuing in some way. I believe that may have something to do with her behavior toward me today. Either way, I'm now once again reconsidering continuing these lessons again. Please pray for me about this. Please pray for me about this. It kind of messed up my day." After praying, I decided to end the lessons. I told my teacher just now. I feel very sorry that things ended this way although I was very kind to my teacher when I explained why I was ending the lessons and we parted on a nice but sad note. Please pray about this. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the struggle you’ve faced, both in the spiritual battles that have weighed on you and in the difficult decision to end your piano lessons. It’s clear that you’ve carried a heavy burden, and we want to stand with you in prayer and encouragement, lifting all of this before the Lord.

First, we must acknowledge the spiritual warfare you’ve described. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he often uses people, even believers, to sow discord, confusion, and pain. But we take comfort in knowing that God is greater than any scheme of the devil (1 John 4:4). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you, your teacher, and your interactions with her. The attacks you’ve endured, especially during times of physical weakness, are not from God, and we pray for His protection to surround you like a shield (Psalm 5:12). We also pray for discernment for you, that the Lord would give you wisdom to recognize the enemy’s tactics and the strength to stand firm in faith (Ephesians 6:11).

We want to gently address the mention of your teacher’s behavior possibly being influenced by a medical condition. While it’s important to extend grace and understanding, especially toward someone who is elderly or unwell, it’s also crucial to recognize that spiritual warfare can manifest in ways that may not always be tied to physical or emotional struggles. The enemy can exploit vulnerabilities, but we must not excuse ungodly behavior simply because of circumstances. We pray that the Lord would bring healing and clarity to your teacher, that she would be guarded against the enemy’s influence, and that her heart would be softened to walk in the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).

Your decision to end the lessons was not made lightly, and we believe you acted with kindness and wisdom. It’s never easy to walk away from a situation that has caused pain, but sometimes it is necessary for our own well-being and spiritual growth. We pray that the Lord would bring peace to your heart as you move forward, and that He would heal any lingering hurt or confusion from this experience. May He fill you with His comfort and assurance that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

We also want to encourage you to remain vigilant in your walk with Christ. The enemy often intensifies his attacks when we are vulnerable, as you’ve experienced during your cycle. We pray that the Lord would strengthen you physically, emotionally, and spiritually during these times. Lean on Him for your strength, and remember that His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). Surround yourself with godly community, believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable in your faith.

Lastly, we must emphasize the importance of keeping your focus on Jesus in all things. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Christ, trusting in His sacrifice for your sins and inviting Him to be the Lord of every area of your life. He is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6), and He longs to bring you rest and healing.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister who has endured spiritual warfare and difficult circumstances. Lord, we ask that You would surround her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against her, and we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Father, we pray for healing, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Strengthen her during times of vulnerability, and fill her with Your presence so that she may stand firm in faith.

We also lift up her piano teacher to You, Lord. We ask that You would minister to her heart, bringing clarity, healing, and a renewed sense of Your love. Guard her against the enemy’s influence, and help her to walk in the fruit of Your Spirit. Father, we pray that You would bring resolution and peace to their relationship, even as they part ways. May Your will be done in both of their lives.

Lord, we ask that You would fill this sister with Your comfort and assurance. Help her to trust in Your goodness, even when circumstances are painful. Give her wisdom and discernment as she navigates life’s challenges, and surround her with godly community that will uplift and encourage her. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust in Your promise to work all things together for good for those who love You.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

It sounds like you’ve been carrying a really heavy load for a long time, and it’s completely understandable that this situation brought everything back to the surface. We’re really sorry you had to go through this again, especially after things seemed to settle down. It’s hard when relationships feel tainted by hurt, even when they’ve been a source of joy before.

We’ve all had those moments where we wonder if we’re overreacting or if there’s something deeper going on, whether it’s spiritual warfare or just the messiness of human interactions. Whatever the case, it’s okay to protect your peace and step away when something doesn’t feel right anymore. You handled this with so much kindness, and that’s truly a reflection of Christ’s love in you.

It makes sense that you’d feel shaken up by this, especially when it seems tied to the spiritual battles you’ve already been fighting. We’re praying that you’d feel God’s presence comforting you in a tangible way right now. And if there’s any lingering doubt or regret about ending the lessons, we pray the Lord would wash over you with His peace and reassurance that you did what was best for your heart and well-being.

May you feel surrounded by His grace in this season.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heart and allowed us to stand with you in prayer during this difficult season. It was clear how deeply this situation weighed on you, and we lifted up every concern—your relationship with your teacher, the spiritual warfare you’ve endured, and the emotional toll it took on your day. We prayed for wisdom, peace, and clarity as you navigated this decision, and we rejoice that you felt led to end the lessons with kindness, even in the midst of sorrow.

If God has already begun to bring healing, restoration, or even unexpected blessings from this closure, we would love to hear about it so we can praise Him together. If the weight of this situation still lingers or new challenges have arisen, please share them with us again. We are here to continue praying alongside you, trusting that the Lord is working even when the path isn’t clear.

May He wrap you in His comfort, strengthen you in His truth, and remind you of His faithfulness in every season. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
