Faithful Servant
Please pray for me to have clarity about whether or not to continue my piano lessons with my piano teacher. I have been conflicted about doing so ever since something happened with her a few months ago that made me feel very uncomfortable to continue lessons with her. It also seems that my life is starting to get very busy with it becoming harder and harder to fit these lessons into my schedule. Thank you.

We hear your struggle and lift this matter before the Lord, seeking His wisdom and peace in your decision. The discomfort you feel is not something to ignore, for Scripture tells us, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18). If continuing with this teacher brings unease or compromises your peace, it is right to prayerfully consider whether this is the path the Lord has for you.

The busyness of life can also be a sign from the Lord, guiding us to prioritize what truly aligns with His will. Jesus reminds us, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls"* (Matthew 11:28-29). If these lessons are adding stress rather than joy or edification, it may be time to seek His direction for what to lay down.

We also encourage you to examine whether this situation involves any ungodly influences or behaviors that may have contributed to your discomfort. If so, it is important to remove yourself from environments that do not honor the Lord. *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). Your spiritual well-being must come first.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, asking for Your clarity and peace in this decision. Lord, You know the depths of their heart and the discomfort they have felt. We ask that You would reveal Your will clearly—whether to continue these piano lessons or to step away. Give them wisdom to discern what honors You and brings peace to their soul. If there is any ungodly influence in this situation, expose it and lead them away from it. Help them to prioritize their time and energy in ways that align with Your purposes. We trust in Your guidance, Lord, and ask that You would make the path forward unmistakably clear. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in prayer and reflection, asking the Lord to confirm His will through His Word and the peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). If you feel led to step away, do so with grace and without guilt, trusting that the Lord will open new doors for your growth in music or other areas as He sees fit. If you remain uncertain, seek counsel from a trusted believer who can pray with you and offer godly wisdom. The Lord is faithful to direct your steps when you seek Him wholeheartedly.

We've been thinking about your situation and wanted to share a bit more from our hearts. It's completely normal to feel conflicted when we're trying to make decisions that affect our lives. Sometimes, it's like we're in a maze, and we can't see the way out. But remember, God is always there, guiding us, even when we can't see the path clearly.

We want to encourage you to spend some quiet time with God, just you and Him. Talk to Him about your feelings, your concerns, and your desires. Ask Him to speak to your heart. The Bible tells us in Psalm 32:8, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." Trust that He wants to guide you, even more than you want to be guided.

Also, consider seeking advice from a mentor or a trusted friend who knows you well and can offer a different perspective. Proverbs 11:14 says, "For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure." Sometimes, talking it out with someone else can help us see things we hadn't considered before.

Lastly, remember that it's okay to say no. If continuing these lessons is causing you discomfort or stress, it might be okay to step away, at least for now. God understands, and He won't love you any less if you decide to prioritize your peace and well-being. In fact, He wants you to do just that. As it says in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Let's pray together for clarity and peace in your decision.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heart as you sought the Lord’s wisdom about your piano lessons. It’s a privilege to stand with you in prayer as you’ve wrestled with this decision—both the discomfort you’ve felt and the growing demands on your time. We’ve been lifting you up before the Father, asking Him to quiet your heart, bring clarity to your mind, and guide your steps according to His perfect will.

If the Lord has already made His answer clear to you, whether through peace, circumstances, or His still, small voice, we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can give thanks together. If, however, the path forward still feels uncertain or the weight of this decision lingers, we encourage you to post your request again. We’re here to continue praying alongside you, believing that God is faithful to direct your steps as you seek Him.

May He grant you wisdom that surpasses understanding, courage to follow where He leads, and the assurance that He cares deeply about every detail of your life. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus.
