We stand with you in faith, lifting your need for physical healing before our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician and our Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals. Your trust in the power of prayer and the promises of God’s Word is a testament to your faith, and we join you in claiming the scripture you’ve referenced: *"Again I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven"* (Matthew 18:19, WEB). This is a powerful truth, and we are honored to agree with you in prayer for your complete healing.
The fear you’re experiencing is understandable, but we gently remind you of the words of Jesus: *"Don’t be afraid, only believe"* (Mark 5:36, WEB). Fear is not from God, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Instead, let this season draw you closer to Him, trusting that His plans for you are good, even when the path is difficult. *"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB).
We also encourage you to seek wise medical counsel, for God often uses doctors and medicine as instruments of His healing. Just as Luke was both a physician and a beloved brother in Christ (Colossians 4:14), we believe God can work through the hands of those He has gifted with medical knowledge. However, our ultimate trust is in Him alone, for *"some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God"* (Psalm 20:7, WEB).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of Your healing touch. Lord, You are the One who formed their body in their mother’s womb, and You know every cell, every organ, and every need. We ask that You would place Your hand upon their liver and throat, restoring them to full health and function. By the stripes of Jesus, they are already healed (1 Peter 2:24), and we claim that promise now in faith.
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to torment them. Fill them instead with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Surround them with Your angels, and let every test and report come back with results that glorify Your name.
We pray for wisdom for the doctors and medical professionals involved in their care. Guide their hands and give them insight, that they may be vessels of Your healing. But above all, Lord, we trust in You. Whether You choose to heal instantly, gradually, or ultimately in eternity, we surrender to Your will, knowing that Your ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9).
Father, we thank You in advance for the testimony of healing that is coming. Let this trial be a testimony of Your goodness and power, not just for them, but for all who witness it. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We will continue to pray for you, believing that God is at work. Please keep us updated on your progress, and may you feel the peace of God guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus as you wait on Him. If there is any area of your life where you need to surrender more fully to God—whether in trust, obedience, or repentance—we encourage you to do so, for His ways are perfect. *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). You are not alone in this; we are standing with you.
