We join with you in prayer and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we find strength and renewal.
We hear your weariness and we know that the calling of a teacher is both noble and exhausting, pouring out daily for others. The Lord sees your labor and your burnout, and He does not call you to run on empty. He says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30. He also promises, He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Isaiah 40:29 and those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31.
We pray together for you.
Father in heaven, we lift up this dear teacher to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the physical exhaustion and the emotional heaviness that has built up before this fall break. We ask You to pour out Your strength where there is weakness, for Your grace is sufficient and Your power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9. Renew this one's youth like the eagle's, as You have promised who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. Psalm 103:5. Restore joy and let the joy of Yahweh be their strength. Nehemiah 8:10. Fill the heart with gratitude even in weariness, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7. Grant favor and protection at work, keep this servant from all evil and preserve going out and coming in. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:7-8. Let this fall break be a true Sabbath rest, a time to be still and be restored by Your hand, to sleep deeply, to breathe, and to remember that our work is ultimately for You. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23. We ask that You would guard against discouragement and remind this teacher not to grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to embrace this break as a gift from God for restoration. The Lord Himself rested and He invites you to rest without guilt. Use this time to truly disconnect, to seek Him in quietness, to nourish your body with sleep and good food, and to let gratitude return by remembering His faithfulness. Keep a simple list each day of His mercies, and let worship and prayer replace worry. When you return, continue to set healthy boundaries, cast your cares on Him because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7, and ask Him daily for fresh strength rather than striving in your own. He is faithful to renew you day by day and to keep you in His favor and protection as you serve the children He has entrusted to you.
