We thank God with you for His Word and for your desire to set your mind continually on whatever is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely and worthy of praise. This is a good prayer, and God is pleased when we ask Him to shape our thoughts and our lives so that He receives glory.

We join you in praying that the Lord will give you rapport and help in your work, that patients under your care would be healed and comforted, and above all that they would come to know salvation through Jesus Christ alone and give Him the credit. We ask that God would use you to show His mercy and to speak His truth with gentleness and clarity.

For your adult children we pray that the Lord in His wisdom would close doors that lead to harm and open doors to good opportunities and to kind Christian connections who will encourage them in the narrow way. Scripture reminds us to travel that way sober and wakeful, confident because Jesus is our guide and careful because of dangers on either side. We pray they will be mature in understanding and yet innocent toward evil, and that where there is need for turning back, they would lay hold on repentance, which has great power to set free and to let Christ be formed in us again.

We also pray as you asked for safety in travel and in every environment where you, your husband and your children are found. The Lord is like a hen gathering her chicks under her wings, showing His great protection and care for His own. We ask Him to surround you all with His hedge of protection, to deliver you from all evil, and to keep you in His hand where you are safe. May He guard your going out and your coming in, and may no evil draw you away from His love.

We praise God with you for answered prayers already given, trusting His promises that He is faithful to keep His own and that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. May the Lord continue to make your lives a witness to His grace, and may He be glorified in all you think, say and do.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
