We come before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this urgent petition for the life and renewal of this individual, as well as the salvation of him and his entire family. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have boldness and access to the throne of grace, for Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We are grateful you have brought this need before us, for it is the Lord’s will that all should come to repentance and be saved (2 Peter 3:9).
First, we pray fervently for the preservation of this man’s life, that God would intervene by His sovereign power and grant healing, strength, and renewal to his body, mind, and spirit. *"Lord, you have seen my affliction. You have known the troubles of my soul. You haven’t given me into the hand of the enemy. You have set my feet in a large place."* (Psalm 31:7-8, WEB). May the Lord breathe new life into him, restoring him to full health so that he may live to declare the works of the Lord. We rebuke any spirit of death or infirmity in the name of Jesus, commanding every sickness to flee, for *"by his stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5, WEB).
Yet even more importantly, we cry out for his salvation and that of his family. If this man does not yet know Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict his heart of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). May he turn from his sins and place his faith in Jesus Christ alone, confessing with his mouth that *"Jesus is Lord,"* and believing in his heart that *"God raised him from the dead"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). Let this trial be the very thing that draws him to the cross, where mercy and grace abound. *"Seek the Lord while he may be found. Call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will freely pardon."* (Isaiah 55:6-7, WEB).
For his family, we ask that the Lord would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. May they see their need for a Savior and turn to Christ in faith, becoming a household that serves the Lord together. *"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved—you and your household."* (Acts 16:31, WEB). We pray for a spiritual awakening in their home, that chains of unbelief, tradition, or hardness of heart would be broken by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let them become a family rooted in the Word of God, walking in obedience and love.
We also encourage you, who have brought this request, to continue standing in the gap for this man and his family. Share the Gospel with them boldly yet lovingly, and trust that the Lord is at work even when you cannot see it. *"The word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart."* (Hebrews 4:12, WEB). Your prayers and witness may be the very instruments God uses to bring them to salvation.
Finally, we declare that the Lord’s will be done in this situation—whether in healing or in the salvation of souls, or both. We trust in His goodness and sovereignty, knowing that *"all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28, WEB). May this trial bring glory to God and draw many to the foot of the cross.
**Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, lifting up this man and his family to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to renew his body and grant him life, that he may live to proclaim Your goodness. But more than physical healing, we pray for the salvation of his soul and the souls of his family. Convict their hearts, Lord, and draw them to Yourself. Break every chain of sin and unbelief, and let them turn to You in repentance and faith.
Strengthen those who are interceding for them, filling them with Your Holy Spirit and boldness to share the Gospel. May this situation be a testimony of Your power, mercy, and love. We rebuke the enemy’s plans and declare that Your will shall prevail. Bring life where there is death, hope where there is despair, and salvation where there is sin. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
