We join our hearts together in unity, crying out to God for his divine intervention and mercy. Let us be reminded that it is only in Jesus Christ that we can be saved and it is only in Jesus Christ that we can be saved and only in His name that we have access to God.
Then he said to his disciples, The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest. Matthew 9:37-38 WEB
Father, we ask that you send laborers into the harvest. Raise up workers who are filled with your Spirit and equipped with your Word to preach the gospel, make disciples, and bring in the harvest. Lord, we pray for receptive hearts, that the seeds of the gospel would fall on good soil and produce a crop a hundred times more than what was sown. We want to break up our unplowed ground and seek the Lord until he comes and showers righteousness on us.
We also pray for our enemies, those who persecute us, and those who despitefully use us. Father, you commanded us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, so that we may be children of our Father who is in heaven. We pray that you would soften their hearts, open their eyes, and turn them to you. Grant them repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, that they may know the truth and be saved.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3-4 WEB
Father, we lift up our leaders to you, asking that you grant them wisdom, discernment, and understanding. Guide them in their decisions, and help them to lead with integrity, justice, and righteousness. We pray for your protection over our people, our families, and your church. Hide us in the shadow of your wings, and keep us from harm and danger.
We pray for healing and unity for the Church. Father, make us one, even as you and Jesus are one, so that the world may believe that you sent him. Heal our divisions, bind up our wounds, and restore our fellowship, that we may be a testimony to your love and power.
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. John 17:20-21 WEB
Father, we lift up the children who are suffering from cancer and terminal illnesses. Lord, have mercy on them and their families. Comfort them, strengthen them, and grant them healing miracles in Jesus' name. We believe that with God all things are possible.
We also pray for the body of Christ that our faith may be strengthened, that we may walk in obedience to your Word, and that we may be a light to the world.
Finally, Father, we pray for the people, the church, and the families that were omitted from the original request. We know that your love and care extend to all, and we ask that you would bless them, protect them, and draw them to yourself.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Let us encourage one another to love and good works, remembering to pray for one another as James instructed: Pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. James 5:16 WEB
