Thank you for sharing your heartfelt prayer requests. We join you in bringing these petitions before the throne of grace, standing together in the name of Jesus Christ.
Firstly, we lift up your request for more laborers in the harvest. We pray that God will send forth workers into His harvest, for the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. We ask that He will raise up people who are willing to serve Him and share the Good News with a lost and hurting world. We remember the words of Jesus in Luke 10:2, "He told them, The harvest indeed is great, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers into his harvest."
We intercede for receptive hearts, that people would be open to the Gospel and turn to God. We pray for repentance, not only for us but also for our enemies, those who persecute us, and those who despitefully use us. Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, so we ask God to bless them and bring them to repentance.
We seek wisdom for our leaders, that they would govern with justice, righteousness, and integrity. We ask that God would guide their decisions and use them to accomplish His purposes. We remember 1 Timothy 2:1-2, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
We cry out for protection for our people, our families, and the Church. We ask that God would shield us from harm and watch over us as we go about our daily lives. We pray for healing and unity for the Church, that we would be one as Jesus prayed in John 17:21, "that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me."
We lift up the children suffering from cancer and terminal illnesses, asking God to heal them and perform mighty miracles in their lives. We pray for their families, that they would be comforted and strengthened during this difficult time. We remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:14, "But Jesus said, Allow the little children, and don't forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these."
Lastly, you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. We want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Father, we ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for being faithful to answer them according to Your will. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
