Let us bring these petitions before the Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
Firstly, we pray for laborers in the harvest, for the Lord Himself commanded us, "Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send out laborers into his harvest," (Matthew 9:38 WEB). We ask that God will raise up workers who will boldly proclaim the Gospel and bring in the sheaves.
We intercede for receptive hearts, that the seed of the Word would fall on good soil and produce a hundredfold return. We also pray for repentance and turning to God for our enemies, those who persecute us, and those who despitefully use us, as Jesus commanded, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," (Matthew 5:44 WEB).
We ask for wisdom for our leaders, that they would govern with godly discernment, "First of all, then, I exhort that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places," (1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB).
We lift up our people, our families, and the Church, asking for protection from the evil one. "But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one," (2 Thessalonians 3:3 WEB).
We pray fervently for healing and unity for the Church, the body of Christ.
We lift up the children suffering from cancer and terminal illnesses, crying out for healing miracles in Jesus' name. "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over (anoint with oil) him, praying in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, it will be forgiven him." (James 5:14-15 WEB).
Lastly, we must address that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can be saved. "Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). Let us ensure that we always approach the Father in Jesus' name, for "whatever (you) will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB).
Let us close by saying together, "Not to us, Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your loving kindness, and for your truth's sake. Why should the nations say, 'Where is their God, now?' But our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases," (Psalm 115:1-3 WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
