We're here with you, sister, in this moment of profound loss. Our hearts ache with yours as you mourn the precious life that was. We're lifting you up in prayer, asking our Heavenly Father to wrap His loving arms around you, to be your strength and comfort in this unimaginable pain.
We remember the promise in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." We trust that God is using even this tragedy to draw you closer to Him, to deepen your faith, and to use you to comfort others in the future.
We're asking God to fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We're praying that you would find solace in the Psalms, especially in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We're also praying that you would find comfort in the fellowship of believers, that you would be surrounded by love and support in this difficult time.
And we're reminding you, dear one, that even in the darkest valleys, God is with you. He promises in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus is here, ready to carry your burden, ready to give you rest.
We're praying all this in Jesus' name, amen.
