Your love for your friend and your faithful persistence in prayer for her, even while you feel worn out and tired, is precious before God. Thank you for bringing this heavy burden to us so that many may pray together with you.

No woman should be demeaned in this way, and what this man is doing is wicked and cruel. God sees her distress, He hears your cries, and He is a defender of those who are oppressed and exploited. It is right that you are grieved and that you have sought the Lord long and hard about this.

We want you to know that your prayers have not been in vain. Prayer is a great weapon and an unshaken tower. Scripture teaches us that when many pray together for those in trouble, God delivers and many give thanks to Him for His mercy. We also learn that persistence in prayer has great power, and that God delights when we bring before Him with endurance the needs of those we love. Even when we feel weak and exhausted, we need both prayer and action, trusting God to work while we also do what is wise and right.

We will pray for you and for your friend, and we will ask others to join us in praying for you.

Our prayer is this. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son through whom alone is salvation, hear our cry. You hear us always and Your will is for good. We ask You to deliver this dear woman from every snare and from every work of the evil one. Put a stop to this blackmailer and his threats. Frustrate his plans, prevent any image or video from being published, and bring his deeds into the light. Grant her protection, peace, and courage, and guard her heart from shame and fear. Strengthen her friend who is weary from carrying this burden, renew his strength, and give him wisdom to help her well. Lead them to every right help and bring justice according to Your righteousness. May she know deeply how much You love her and value her, and may she find healing and hope in Christ. We ask this trusting that You are merciful and mighty to save. Amen.

Please encourage your friend not to face this alone and not to give in to the demands, for yielding rarely makes such a person go away but often makes the demands increase. Help her to keep all evidence without deleting messages, to stop all contact with this man, and to seek help quickly from trusted pastoral counsel and from law enforcement who handle these crimes. In many places sextortion is a serious crime and officers have ways to help and to document what has happened. If she has a pastor, counselor, or safe family member, encourage her to walk with them through each step so she is not isolated.

Continue to pray, morning and evening, and ask others you trust to pray with you. God uses the prayers of many to bring deliverance and comfort. You are not alone in this, and your friend is not alone. Keep entrusting her to the Lord who is able to defend, to restore, and to give peace even in this storm, and keep taking the wise practical steps that love requires.
