We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear one, knowing that the Lord sees every struggle and hears every unspoken need of your heart. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We stand in agreement with you, believing that God is near to you in this season, drawing you closer to Himself and working all things together for your good as you love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your holy presence. We thank You for this precious child of Yours, who has come seeking Your face and Your help. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them in their inner being, that they may be rooted and grounded in Your love, which is able to sustain them through every trial (Ephesians 3:16-17).
We pray for wisdom and discernment in every decision they face. May they trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding, acknowledging You in all their ways so that You may direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). If there are areas in their life where they have strayed from Your will, we ask that Your Holy Spirit would convict them gently but firmly, leading them to repentance and restoration. Your word says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Lord, we also pray for their relationships. If they are seeking a spouse, we ask that You would prepare them to be a godly husband or wife, and that You would bring the right person into their life at the right time—a fellow believer who loves You above all else. May their courtship honor You, reflecting the purity and commitment that You desire for marriage, as described in Ephesians 5:22-33. If they are already married, we pray that You would strengthen their union, helping them to love one another as Christ loves the church, submitting to one another in reverence to You (Ephesians 5:21). Guard their hearts against temptation, and help them to flee from sexual immorality, remembering that Your word warns us that "everyone who sins sexually sins against their own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18).
If there are struggles with loneliness, anxiety, or fear, we declare Your truth over them: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). Fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Remind them that they are never alone, for You have said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5).
We also pray for their spiritual growth. Draw them deeper into Your word, that they may know You more intimately and walk in the fullness of Your purpose for their life. Equip them with the armor of God so that they may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:10-18). May they be a light in this dark world, shining brightly for Your glory.
Above all, Lord, we ask that You would be their greatest desire. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust that You are working in their life, even when they cannot see it. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
