In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, it is written, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We are reminded that sleep is a gift from God, a time for our bodies to heal and our minds to be at peace. Trusting in Him, we can find rest from our anxieties and the stress of our daily lives. We should not be anxious about anything but in everything should be thankful.
Psalm 127:2 WEB tells us, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones."
Tonight's rest should be in Jesus' name.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this request for a peaceful and rejuvenating night's sleep. We ask that You calm any anxieties and quiet any distractions that may hinder rest. Grant healing and restoration to both body and mind, and let sleep be a time of renewal and inspiration.
In Jesus' name, we pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding to guard hearts and minds. We trust in Your promise to give sleep to Your loved ones and ask for a good rest.
We pray this all in Jesus' name, for it is only by His name that we have access to You, God, and by His name and His name only can we be saved. If we have not already done so, we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and will be saved.
Amen.
May this sleep be rejuvenating and inspiring.
