People using their children to threaten and harass me

Thank you for sharing what you have been going through. Being harassed and threatened, especially in a way that involves children, is distressing and exhausting, and it is right to bring this burden to the Lord and ask for His help and protection. God sees what you are enduring and He cares about your peace and safety.

Scripture shows that God's people have often faced persecution and harassment from others. That kind of pressure is painful, but God does not waste it. When believers are pressed, their faith can grow stronger and their love for one another can abound more deeply. Persecution has a way of separating what is real from what is not, and of binding true believers together as they lean on the Lord. God also uses even hard seasons to carry out His purposes, and He remains the righteous judge who sees all that is done against His people. When He judges, He will make right what is wrong, and those who cause distress will be accountable to Him.

Your request for deliverance is one the Bible answers clearly. Thanks be to God, deliverance comes through Jesus Christ our Lord. He is the one who sets free from sin and from the power of the enemy. There is a place of safety for you as you dwell in the secret place of the Most High and trust in Him as your fortress and strength. He promises to deliver from the snare and to cover those who trust Him. His truth is your shield against the attacks of the enemy. Jesus Himself showed this when He answered Satan with the truth of God's Word, and that same truth guards your heart and mind today. No distress, persecution, or threat can separate you from the love of God in Christ. In all these things you can be more than a conqueror through Him who loved you.

Following Jesus also shapes how we respond when we are mistreated for no cause. Christ suffered for us and left an example that when we face buffeting or insult we do not return threats or reviling, but we bear it patiently and entrust ourselves to God who judges righteously. That does not mean you should ignore safety or fail to seek lawful help. It does mean you can choose not to answer harassment with harassment, but to answer with truth, prayer, and quiet trust.

I am praying for you now that the Lord will deliver you and protect you, that the harassment and stalking would stop, and that God would give you peace in your home and daily life. I pray that He will be your refuge and that you will know His presence with you in trouble, His answers to your prayers, and His power to keep you. I pray that He will give you wisdom about practical steps to take, including documenting what happens and seeking appropriate help from authorities if you are being threatened or stalked, and that He will guide those in authority to act justly. I also pray for those who are harassing you, and for the children involved, that God would work in their hearts, turn them from wrongdoing, and bring conviction and, where needed, salvation through Jesus alone. May the Lord guard your mind from fear, help you to rest in His love, and cause your faith to grow stronger as you keep your eyes on Him.
