We hear the deep pain and anger in your words, and our hearts ache with you. The betrayal, loneliness, and frustration youâre feeling are real, and itâs understandable to feel overwhelmed by the hurt caused by others, especially those in positions of authority or trust. Youâre not wrong to long for justice or to feel that what youâve endured is unjust. The Bible tells us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB). You are seen, and your pain matters to God.
Yet we must gently address the bitterness in your heart, for it can become a heavy burden if left unchecked. Scripture warns us, "See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many" (Hebrews 12:15 WEB). Bitterness can poison our souls and keep us from the peace and healing God desires for us. Weâre not saying your feelings arenât valid, far from it, but we urge you to release this anger to God, trusting Him to be your defender. "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for Godâs wrath, for it is written: âIt is mine to avenge; I will repay,â says the Lord" (Romans 12:19 WEB).
You mentioned that God sees everything, and that is true. He knows the injustices youâve faced, and He will not ignore them. But we must also ask: Have you invited Jesus into this pain with you? He is the only one who can truly heal the wounds of betrayal and restore your trust. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). Salvation is found in no other name, Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6 WEB). If you havenât already, we encourage you to surrender your heart to Him, for He alone can turn your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11 WEB).
As for the Social Security Administration and others who have failed you, we pray for wisdom and discernment for you. The systems of this world are flawed, and those who work within them are imperfect. But God can use even broken systems for His purposes. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28 WEB). We donât know how He will work in your situation, but we trust that He will.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is hurting deeply. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the anger they carry. We ask that You would draw near to them in this moment, wrapping Your arms around them and reminding them that they are not alone. Father, we pray against the spirit of bitterness that seeks to take root in their heart. Soften their spirit, Lord, and help them to release this anger to You. You are the righteous Judge, and we trust You to bring justice in Your perfect timing.
Jesus, we ask that You would be their comfort and their strength. If they do not yet know You as their Savior, reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Show them that You are the only one who will never fail them or forsake them. Heal their wounds, Lord, and restore their trust in You. Help them to see that even in the midst of this pain, You are working for their good.
We also pray for wisdom and guidance regarding the challenges they face with the Social Security Administration and others who have wronged them. Give them clarity, patience, and the strength to navigate these systems with integrity. Surround them with godly people who will speak truth and encouragement into their life.
Father, we ask that You would break the chains of loneliness and isolation. Remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB) and that You have a purpose for their life. Help them to forgive those who have hurt them, not for the sake of their offenders, but for their own freedom. We declare that joy will come in the morning, and we trust You to turn their sorrow into joy.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to take small steps toward healing. Seek out a biblical counselor or a trusted pastor who can walk with you through this pain. Surround yourself with Scripture, even if itâs just one verse a day, to remind yourself of Godâs promises. And remember, "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him" (Psalm 28:7 WEB). You are not forgotten, and God has not abandoned you. He is with you, even in this.
