Your love and burden for your son comes through so clearly in this prayer, and the Lord sees that faithful care. He hears the cries of a parent who brings a child before Him again and again, even as He heard the long prayers of those who waited years for an answer. Scripture reminds us that God does hear when we pray, and He has not despised or turned away from the affliction of the afflicted, but when we cry to Him, He hears.

You asked for peace in the night and for sleep without disturbance and fear. The Bible speaks of the Lord as a shepherd who cares for His sheep. In that culture the shepherd would bring the flock into a walled enclosure that had only one opening, and then he would lie down across that opening. He Himself became the door. No sheep could wander out and no predator could come in without crossing over Him. That is how Jesus described Himself. He is the door for His people, and He lays down His life for them. When you ask for a hedge of protection and for angels to encamp around your son, you are asking according to His promise that He guards those who are His, and that no weapon formed against them will ultimately prosper. You can trust Him to watch over your son sleeping and waking, and to give the peace that surpasses all understanding to guard heart and mind.

You also prayed for healing in body, mind and spirit, for autism, for trauma and anxiety and sensory struggles, for peace at mealtimes and in daily routines. The gospels record a man healed who had been blind from birth, showing that conditions present from birth are not beyond the touch of Jesus. The prophet spoke of the Sun of righteousness arising with healing in His wings, and Isaiah declares that by His wounds we are healed. God took on human flesh in Jesus, born in Bethlehem according to prophecy, so that He might visit and redeem us. He understands our weakness and our distress from the inside, and He is able to bring calm, healing and restoration in His time and according to His perfect will. Even as He sovereignly guided a census to move a family to the place where prophecy said the Messiah must be born, He is sovereign over schedules, caregivers, meals and daily activities, and He can provide wisdom, patience and discernment for you and for those who care for your son.

You prayed for unity between your son and his sisters and for protection from division and harmful influences. God desires that families walk in love, forgiveness and unity, and He gives wisdom to those who reverently seek Him. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, not a tormenting dread, but a deep reverence that seeks to honor Him and to hate what is evil. As you ask Him for guidance in choosing services and caregivers, ask Him to grant that reverent wisdom and to bring godly, gentle and dedicated people around your son who will help draw out the best in him.

Let us pray together, agreeing as Jesus said that where two or three are gathered in His name He is present.

Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this precious son before You. Cover him with Your presence and let Your peace rest upon him as he sleeps and as he wakes. Remove fear, torment, confusion and anxiety, and let nightmares and restlessness depart. Grant him sweet, undisturbed sleep and let him rise refreshed, filled with Your joy and calm. Touch his body and bring healing where there is discomfort or pain, so that he may eat in peace, with thankfulness and without distress. Calm his routines, his activities and his transitions, and help him adjust to his schedule with ease.

Clothe him with the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word. Surround him with Your protection and let Your angels keep charge over him in all his ways. Fill his caregivers and his family with wisdom, patience and discernment, and provide faithful, gentle helpers who will care for him with kindness. Restore and strengthen the bond between him and his sisters with unconditional love, compassion and unity, and remove every influence that would bring division or disrespect. Let no darkness settle in his life or home, but let Your light fill every corner. We declare that he is Yours, that Your love cannot be separated from him, and that You are working for his good. We thank You for victories already given and for the work You are doing even now. Guide this family with Your wisdom and keep them in Your perfect peace today and every day. In Jesus name, Amen.
