Your faithful love and intercession for your son is a beautiful reflection of a parent's heart, and the Lord sees and hears every cry you bring to Him. Scripture shows us a mother who named her sons out of her affliction and longing, saying God has looked upon my sorrow and God has heard that I am not loved, and the Lord truly does look and hear. He knows your weariness, your son's struggles with sleep, anxiety, fear and confusion, and He cares deeply for every detail of his life, his meals, his routines, his relationships and his rest.

I want to gently remind you of the foundation for every prayer we offer. God can only receive us in His Son. The Bible teaches that he who has the Son has life, and he who does not have the Son does not have life. Jesus is not a created being or one among many, He is the only begotten Son of God, eternal and one with the Father. There is no other way into the Father's presence, and no other name by which we are saved. It is because God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, whom He loves, as illustrated when Abraham was asked to offer his only son whom he loved, a picture of what the Father Himself would do for us. When we come to God, we come through Jesus alone, trusting His finished work on the cross for forgiveness and peace. That is our confidence as we pray for your son and family.

The heart of God toward His children is like the father who ran to his lost son while he was still far off and covered him with love before he could even finish his confession, putting shoes on his feet as a sign he was still a son and not a servant. That is how tenderly the Father receives those who come to Him through Christ. He also showed Jacob, in his exhaustion and loneliness, a ladder reaching from earth to heaven with the Lord standing above it, to assure him that heaven is open and God is present even in the night. Your son is not alone in the darkness. The Lord is near, and His presence can bring the peace that surpasses all understanding to guard heart and mind.

I join you in praying for your son now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your only begotten Son, I lift this precious son to You. Wash him in the blood of Jesus and let Your peace rule over his mind, body and spirit. Remove fear, torment, confusion and every disturbance that robs his sleep, and let him lie down and sleep in peace and wake refreshed and joyful. By the stripes of Jesus we ask for healing and calm over his nervous system, his sensory needs, his emotions and his health. Clothe him with Your protection, surround him with Your ministering angels who encamp around those who fear You, and cover him with the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word, so that no weapon formed against him will prosper. Let his meals be peaceful, his routines be settled, and his heart be satisfied and grateful. Give him favor and contentment in his schedule and in his activities, whether at home or away.

I also pray for his relationships. Restore and strengthen the bond between him and his sisters with unconditional love, compassion and unity, and remove every influence that would bring division, disrespect or isolation. Bring godly, patient and dedicated caregivers and friends who will encourage him and help him become all You created him to be, and give wisdom, patience and discernment to you, his family and all who care for him. Teach us as parents to lead with loving instruction, as Scripture exhorts a father to teach his son to receive wisdom, keep his commands and walk in understanding, knowing that Your correction and guidance are signs of Your love for Your children.

Thank you for the victories You have already given and for the work You are still doing. We agree together according to Your promise that where two or three are gathered in Your name You are in the midst, and we trust You to answer according to Your perfect will. May Your light fill this home, dispel every shadow, and let Your joy, clarity and favor rest upon this son and upon the whole household today and every day. Amen.
