You speak of setbacks and confusion, but look at the turmoil in your own words! You are fighting a war, and in your agitation, you risk becoming an enemy to the very peace you seek. You pile request upon request, anxiety upon anxiety, and call it prayer. But where is the quiet confidence? Where is the still trust that God, who has already granted a peaceful night, holds this child in His hand? Your excessive worry is itself a kind of discord, a storm in your own soul that disturbs the household of faith.

The Peace of God is not found in a frantic listing of every ailment and every potential disturbance. It is an umpire. When the thoughts rise up, one crying for revenge against the illness, another screaming in fear of the next meal, another raging against the caregiver’s schedule, do not let anxiety or contentiousness hold the prize. Let the Peace of God step forward. Let it silence those fears with the truth that God is Peace, and He has already made peace with you through the blood of His Son. Why do you arm yourself for a battle Christ has already won? Human peace often comes from having no trouble, from perfect circumstances and avenged wrongs. Not this peace. The peace Christ gives is steadfast. It is given so that you, and your household, may be at peace with one another, which makes you stronger. But how can you impart this calm to your sleeping child when your own mind is a field of wrestling, angry thoughts?

Be still. The dove descended not bringing a branch of peace from a single olive tree, but bringing the good tidings of a common calm for the whole world, deliverance from all evils. Is the deliverance of your son a larger task than the salvation of the world? If God has begun a good work, if the seizure has ceased and the sleep has been sweet, then give thanks with a full and quiet heart. Do not immediately dive back into the trenches, commanding and rebuking every potential shadow. Such an approach is not peacemaking; it is the making of disturbance. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one shall see the Lord. This pursuit of peace starts in your own heart. Entrust the child to his Angel, who always beholds the face of the Father, and let your requests be made known with thanksgiving, not with a torrent of fearful instructions. To be a peacemaker, and so a child of God, you must first let the Peace of God rule.

I hear the gratitude and the fierce faith in your words, and I rejoice with you for the peaceful night and the progress your son is making. What you are witnessing is not just a change in circumstances; it is the fruit of a spiritual battle fought on your knees. The calm you describe, the improvements in meals and sleep, the lifting of heaviness, these are real breakthroughs because we are dealing with something far deeper than the physical world can explain.

Remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood. The opposition, the setbacks, the agitation you keep rebuking, those are not just random flashes of behavior. They are skirmishes in a war that rages in the unseen, and you are right to stand against them in Jesus’ name. Yet be encouraged: the One who is in you is greater than any force that comes against your son. God has not left us defenseless. He has given us spiritual weapons, mighty through Him, to pull down strongholds. Your persistent prayer, your declarations of truth from Scripture, and your refusal to accept defeat are exactly that weaponry in action. When you speak calm over the storm of anxiety or confusion, you are exercising the same authority Jesus gave His disciples.

The peace you are seeking for your son, a peace that surpasses all understanding, is not a fragile truce contingent on perfect behavior or a flawless schedule. It is a gift from Jesus Himself. He said, “My peace I give to you, not as the world gives.” That peace can flood a room and still a raging sea inside a troubled mind, just as He once rebuked the wind and the waves on the lake. When your son drifts off to sleep, that deep, undisturbed rest is a physical picture of the spiritual reality Jesus offers. He ordains peace for us, even when everything around us feels chaotic. God’s thoughts toward your son are thoughts of peace, not of evil, to give him a future and a hope.

You have anchored your requests in the cross, claiming that by His stripes your son is healed. Hold fast to that. Some want to limit that promise to spiritual healing alone, but Scripture does not draw such a narrow line. Jesus bore the full weight of our brokenness, body and soul. The bread broken in communion speaks of a body broken for our wholeness. So pray with confidence for his mind, his body, his stomach, and his senses, believing that healing flows from the same sacrifice that brought you peace with God.

When the enemy tries to bring back fear, stubbornness, or torment, remember what keeps us in perfect peace: a mind stayed on the Lord, trusting in Him. As you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, that peace becomes a reality. Refuse the lies of the enemy. He has nothing on a child of God covered by the righteousness of Christ. You can rejoice even now because the victory has been won.

So as your son sleeps tonight, let the truth settle over your household: the war is over between you and God, and therefore you can face the smaller battles from a place of resting in His love. May that same peace guard your daughter, your dog, your very vehicle, and every caregiver. God is with you, and He will continue the work He has begun.

We are so encouraged to see the progress your son has made these past few days—praise God for granting him peaceful nights, better meals, and fewer spiritual attacks! Thank you for sharing these updates with us; it is a joy to stand in agreement with you as we see the Lord’s hand at work.

If the peace, healing, and breakthroughs continue, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice together in God’s faithfulness. If there are still areas where you need prayer—whether for continued restoration, protection, or strength—please share them again so we can lift them up afresh before the Lord.

We continue to pray that your son experiences deep, uninterrupted rest, joy in his daily routines, and freedom from every setback. May the Lord surround him with His peace, fill him with the Holy Spirit, and replace every struggle with His perfect love and wisdom. We ask for wisdom and compassion for his caregivers, unity in your family, and divine favor in every area of his life.

Thank you for allowing us to partner with you in prayer. May God bless you and your family abundantly as you seek Him. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
