Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for bringing your son before the Lord with such faithful, persistent love. Your prayer reflects a deep trust that Jesus hears and cares, and He does.

Scripture shows two men who were told to be quiet when they cried out to Jesus for mercy, calling Him the Son of David. They cried out all the more, and Jesus stood still and listened to them. That title means He is the promised Messiah, a real man descended from David, and at the same time He is the Son of God, given by the Father, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. When you keep crying out for mercy for your son, even when circumstances tell you to be quiet, Jesus hears and He stands ready to respond in His perfect way.

You have asked for both spiritual and physical healing, for peace in his mind and rest for his body, for calm in his emotions and ease in his daily routines. We can trust Jesus for all of that. All healing is from Him. Sometimes He heals instantly with a word, as He did for a sick son at a distance when a father sought Him, and sometimes the healing is gradual. There is one account where healing came in stages, reminding us that God often works through processes He Himself created in our bodies and minds. Whether instant or gradual, whether in the body, the mind, or the emotions, every true healing is divine. We do not always understand why some healing comes quickly and some takes time, but we can believe strongly that He is able and that He loves your son even more than you do.

That love is pictured in the story of a father called to offer his only son whom he loved, on the mountain that would later be the place of sacrifice. It points us to what the Heavenly Father did when He gave His only begotten Son for us. Because God gave His Son, He understands a parent's love and He has made a way for us to know His peace.

Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. There is coming a day when He will bring perfect peace to the earth, and of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, a peace like a river. Even now, for everyone who believes in Him, there is peace in the heart. Scripture speaks of two kinds of peace. First there is peace with God, which comes when our sins are forgiven through Jesus Christ alone. Then there is the peace of God, which guards our hearts and minds. We cannot fully know the peace of God until we understand the grace of God, which is why the letters often say grace and peace, always grace first. As you rest in His grace, that guarding peace can settle over your son and over your home.

The Lord also says, Peace, peace to him who is far off and to him who is near, I will heal him. He is our peace. He breaks down walls and offers forgiveness, healing and restoration. For those who continue in rebellion against Him there is no peace, they are like a troubled sea, but for those who turn to Him there is deep, beautiful peace within, the war is over. That is the peace we ask for your son, not a temporary calm from circumstances, but the keeping peace that passes all understanding spoken of in Philippians 4:7.

We join you in praying for him in the name of Jesus, the Son of God, to whom the Father has committed all things and whom we are called to honor even as we honor the Father.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we bring this son before You. You know his needs, his struggles with anxiety, with painful memories and habits, with sensory distress, with communication, with eating and daily care. You see his restlessness and agitation, and You see his mother's faithful love. Have mercy, Lord.

We ask that You would let Your presence soothe him tenderly and that Your peace would guard his heart and mind. Calm the storm within him. Remove fear, torment, confusion and rage, and let them flee and not return. Replace them with calm, gentle ways to express his wants and needs, with confidence to use the language You have given him. Heal his mind, body and spirit. By Your stripes we believe You can heal, as Isaiah declares, and we ask for that healing to touch every part of him, from the top of his head to the soles of his feet, washing and cleansing him, soothing any discomfort, easing any distress in his stomach, quieting any sensory pain with clothing, hygiene and shaving.

Grant him sweet, peaceful and restful sleep without disturbance, and joyful, refreshed waking. Bless his meals, that he would eat peacefully, with gratitude and contentment, without confusion, waste or mess. Guide his caregivers with wisdom, patience, understanding, compassion, strength and gentleness. Bless his sisters, his family, his friends and all who support him, and let him feel included, respected, accepted and loved. Surround his home, every room, window and door, his yard and vehicles, and every place he goes, with Your protection as promised in Psalm 91, and let Your name be a strong tower for him as Proverbs teaches.

We pray that every negative habit and tormenting memory would be uprooted and replaced with godly, healthy patterns that honor You. Help him to choose calm and obedient ways to seek attention and to walk through changes in schedule, travel and daily tasks without anxiety. Where there are influences causing division or speaking harm over him, we ask for Your protection and for those influences to be removed. Where there is witchcraft or evil, we remember that there can be no true peace where such things remain, and we ask You to cleanse and keep his surroundings in Your holiness.

Thank You for keeping him safe and for every victory You have already given, including months free from seizures. We trust You to continue Your work, whether quickly or step by step, knowing that any healing process You ordain is from Your hand. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, with love, joy, satisfaction and obedience, and let Your peace rest on him day and night. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is our hope and our peace. Amen.
