Your heartfelt prayer for your son and for your whole household has been heard, and we join our faith with yours before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

We stand with you in asking for the peace of God to rest upon your son. Scripture teaches that real peace begins with peace with God through Jesus, and then the peace of God guards the heart and mind. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world gives. That peace is not the absence of trouble but the presence of Christ Himself, who is called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, and Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end. When He reigns in the heart, fear and torment must give way.

You prayed against fear, anxiety, confusion and rigid distress, and that is right, for God has not given a spirit of fear. The beginning of true wisdom and knowledge is reverence for the Lord, which is to hate evil and to love what God loves. As your son is taught to walk in truth and to hear the instruction of the Lord, that reverence becomes a foundation for calm and understanding. We pray that the Lord will incline his ear to wisdom and apply his heart to understanding, and that keeping the ways of the Lord will add length of days and peace to him.

We also join you in praying for his healing. We believe Jesus touches both soul and body. The prophet declared that unto those who reverence His name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings, and Isaiah declares by His stripes we are healed. We ask the Lord to bring healing to mind, body and spirit, to ease sensory distress and physical discomfort, to grant peaceful eating and sleeping, and to wake him refreshed with joy and strength. We ask for calm over his routines, his meals, his activities and his interactions, that he may adjust with ease and communicate with gentleness and confidence.

We agree with you for protection. We ask the Father to surround him with a hedge of protection, that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and to clothe him with the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. We ask that ministering angels encamp around him and guard him in all his ways.

We pray for you, for his caregivers, family and friends, that God will fill you with wisdom, patience and discernment. Parenting and caregiving is a holy calling, and Scripture reminds us that whom the Lord loves He corrects as a father corrects his children, and that this training afterward yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness. Even in difficult seasons, His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. As you call upon Him and pray, He has promised to listen. May He guide you in the meeting concerning services for your son, granting clear counsel to choose what is best and most helpful for him.

We also lift up your younger daughter and your household, that your home would be filled with calm, joy and safety, and that His light would dispel every shadow. For your older daughter, we pray for the Lord's guarding hand over her heart and relationships. We ask God to remove any harmful or divisive influence, to heal what has been broken, and to restore family bonds in love, compassion and unity according to His holy design. We pray that every relationship in your family would be shaped by truth and love, honoring the Lord, and that any connection not in keeping with His will would be graciously redirected, while godly friendships and mentors are provided to encourage and uplift each of you.

You quoted the promise that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is in the midst. We claim that now. Grace must come before peace, and we pray that the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and mercy and peace from God the Father and from the Son, will rest richly upon your son, your daughters, and your entire household.

We thank the Lord for the victories He has already won and for the miracles He is still working. We trust Him who is both the Son of David and the Son of God, given for us, to be your strength and your son's peace today and every day. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
