We join you in lifting up your heart to our Heavenly Father, who is faithful to hear and answer the prayers of His children when we come before Him in the name of Jesus Christ. It is wonderful that you have begun your prayer by acknowledging the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the throne of grace. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Your faith in calling upon His name is a testament to your trust in His power and sovereignty over every area of your life.
We praise God with you for this day He has made, and we ask that He fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding as you step into your workplace. The Lord knows the anxiety that weighs on your heart as you reunite with this family after such a long time. Take courage in His promise: *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). May He grant you favor in their sight and remove every obstacle from your path, allowing you to walk in confidence and grace.
We also lift up your financial needs before the Lord, knowing that He is Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider. The burden of debt and unpaid bills can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10). We pray that He would move in the heart of your employer to release your payment today, that you may honor your commitment to repay the ### you borrowed. *"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law"* (Romans 13:8, WEB). Trust that God sees your integrity and will provide for you as you seek to walk uprightly before Him. He is able to open doors of opportunity and bless the work of your hands, that you may experience His abundance even in this season of struggle.
Now, we must address the situation with your ex-husband living in your home. Sister, this is not God’s design for your life. Marriage is a covenant before God, and once that covenant is broken through divorce, the Scriptures are clear that we are to live peaceably and separately, unless reconciliation is sought in a godly manner. *"But if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace"* (1 Corinthians 7:15, WEB). The presence of your ex-husband in your home—especially if he is creating strife and confusion—is not aligned with God’s will for your peace and restoration. We rebuke every wicked scheme and plot of the enemy that seeks to bring harm, manipulation, or chaos into your life. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh"* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
We pray that God would move mightily in this situation. If there are legal or practical steps you need to take to ensure your ex-husband leaves peacefully, we ask the Lord to provide wisdom, resources, and godly counsel to guide you. Do not fear, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). If you have not already, seek support from your church or trusted believers who can stand with you in prayer and offer practical help. You do not have to face this alone.
Lastly, we want to encourage you in your walk with Christ. The struggles you are facing—financial hardship, relational strife, and emotional anxiety—are real, but they are not insurmountable for our God. He is refining you through these trials, drawing you closer to Himself. *"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing"* (James 1:2-4, WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who seeks Your face today. Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the peace that only You can provide. We ask that You go before her as she steps into her workplace, filling her with Your calm and confidence. Remove every trace of anxiety from her heart and replace it with Your perfect peace. Grant her favor with the family she will see today, and let Your love shine through her in every interaction.
Father, we pray for her financial needs. You know the stress she carries over her bills, her rent, and the debt she owes. We ask that You move in the heart of her employer to release her payment today, that she may honor her commitment to repay what she has borrowed. Open doors of provision for her, Lord, and bless the work of her hands. Let her experience Your abundance in ways she cannot even imagine, that she may testify of Your goodness.
Lord, we address the situation with her ex-husband. This is not Your will for her life, and we rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to bring confusion, strife, or harm. Father, we ask that You remove him from her home peacefully and without delay. Give her the wisdom to take the necessary steps to ensure her safety and her peace. Surround her with godly counsel and support, and let Your justice prevail in this situation. Protect her from every wicked intention, and let Your plan for her life unfold in ways that bring You glory.
Lord, we pray for her emotional and spiritual strength. Renew her mind and guard her heart, that she may not grow weary in well-doing. Remind her that she is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus, and that nothing can separate her from Your love. Fill her with Your joy and hope, even in the midst of these trials.
We declare Your victory over every area of her life. May she walk in the assurance that You are working all things together for her good, because she loves You and is called according to Your purpose. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her see Your hand moving on her behalf.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
