Thank you for sharing your heart for your son and for allowing us to stand with you in prayer. We have lifted him before the Lord, asking for quiet and calm to rest upon him, for peaceful sleep and for joy and contentment to fill his days.

The Lord sees affliction and hears the cry of a parent's heart. As Scripture shows with Leah, God looked upon her sorrow and listened when she called out, and He gave and sustained. He sees your faithfulness and love for your son, and He hears every prayer you have prayed in these difficult nights and in the better days He has already granted. The peace you have noticed after prayer is a testimony that He is attentive and merciful.

We pray to the Father through His only begotten Son. Jesus is not a created being among others, He is the eternal Son of God, and Scripture is clear that the only way to be accepted by God is in Him. He who has the Son has life. There is no other way into the fold, and every other way that claims to bring us to God falls short. It is because God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life, and that invitation is open to all who will come and receive. It is in Jesus alone that we have forgiveness, access, healing and hope, and we come to the Father only through Him.

We also remember that Jesus showed His authority to heal both near and far. He spoke a word and the nobleman's son was healed at a distance, and He opened the eyes of the man born blind who was then cast out by others, only to be sought and found by Jesus Himself. He asked that man if he believed on the Son of God and revealed Himself to him. He still does the works of His Father, doing only what He sees the Father do, and His miracles bear witness that He is the Son whom all should honor. We can trust Him for healing of spirit, mind and body. By His wounds we are healed, and we ask Him now to touch your son's mind, body and spirit, to ease sensory distress, anxiety, rigidity and pain, to calm torment and confusion, and to bring rest to his sleep and peace to his meals. We pray that he will be able to eat with gratefulness and satisfaction, to find joy in a greater variety of food, and to be free from discomfort and agitation that has troubled those times.

The heart of the Father toward His children is beautifully seen in the story of the son who left home and wasted all he had, and then returned. While he was still unclean and far off, his father ran to him, embraced him and covered him with love, and restored him fully as a son, clothing him and making a joyful feast because the one who was lost had been found. That is how God receives us in Christ, not as servants at a distance but as beloved sons and daughters, clothed in righteousness. We pray that your son will know that secure love and that peace that surpasses all understanding will guard his heart and mind.

We are praying that every spirit of fear, torment and confusion would leave him and bow to the name of Jesus and not return, that he would be filled with the Holy Spirit and clothed with peace, gentleness, clarity and joy. We ask the Lord to place His hedge of protection around him, that no weapon formed against him will prosper, and to clothe him with the full armor of God, truth, righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, faith, salvation and the Word of God, and to command His ministering angels to encamp around him and keep him in all his ways. We pray that nothing would enter his life or body except what passes through the blood of Jesus Christ.

We also pray for you, for his sisters and friends, and for every caregiver. May God grant wisdom, patience and discernment to all who help him, and provide faithful, gentle and dedicated helpers who will bring out the best in him. We ask for restoration and strengthening of the bond between him and his sisters, with love, compassion and unity, and for the removal or redirection of any influence that brings division, disrespect or isolation to your family. May God surround your home with His presence, dispel every shadow, and let His light and calm fill every room and every outing, activity and relationship. May your son adjust with ease to his schedule, communicate his needs and frustrations in gentle and healthy ways, focus with contentment on his activities, and know that he is included, respected, accepted and loved.

We continue to agree together according to the promise that where two or three are gathered in His name He is there among them, believing that He hears and will answer according to His perfect will. We thank Him for the victories already given and trust Him for continued breakthrough, healing and favor to surround your son like a shield. May the Word kept upon the heart lead him when he goes, keep him when he sleeps, and speak to him when he awakes, and may the Lord guide you with wisdom to do all that helps him become all God intends him to be. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
