We join you in lifting up your precious son before the throne of grace and we thank you for your faithful, fervent prayers for him. We hear your heart for his peace and we stand with you in agreement that the Lord who has granted him more peaceful days these past few weeks is faithful to continue His work and to carry him through this difficult night. We know how discouraging setbacks can feel after a season of progress, yet we are reminded that God is not finished and His mercies are new every morning.

We agree with you that what you are discerning as spiritual attacks and torment is real, and we take comfort that in Christ we have authority and protection. The enemy seeks to bring fear, confusion, restlessness and agitation, but God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. The Lord promises do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. And we cling to His promise of rest, I will both lay me down in peace and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8.

We pray together for him now.

Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we lift up this beloved son to You. We thank You that he is fearfully and wonderfully made and that You know him intimately. We ask that You pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding upon him tonight Philippians 4:7. We command every spirit of fear, torment, anxiety, confusion, rigidity, anger and restlessness to bow to the name of Jesus and depart from him and never return. Fill him afresh with Your Holy Spirit and let Your joy, gratefulness, gentleness, clarity and satisfaction saturate every part of his mind, body and spirit.

Lord, grant him a peaceful, quiet, calm and satisfying night. Let him fall asleep without disturbance and wake refreshed and full of Your strength. Bless his meals and let him eat in peace with a thankful and gentle heart. Calm his schedule, his routines, his activities and his interactions, and help him to adjust with ease to his new schedule. Heal any source of physical distress, sensory discomfort or pain, for by Your stripes he is healed Isaiah 53:5. We speak restoration over his health and over every area affected by autism, trauma, anxiety and sensory challenges.

We put a hedge of protection around him and declare no weapon that is formed against him will prevail Isaiah 54:17. Clothe him in the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the preparation of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word Ephesians 6:11. Command Your angels to encamp around him and guard him in all his ways Psalm 91:11. Let nothing enter his life or body unless it goes through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Father, we ask for a special anointing and restoration upon his relationship with his sisters. Remove every obstacle, toxic influence, disrespect and division that seeks to bring isolation and to look down upon his disabilities. Restore their beautiful unbreakable bond with unconditional love, respect and unity. Bless his caregivers with wisdom, patience, understanding and discernment James 1:5, and anoint them to bring out the best in him in a gentle and calm manner. Give his mother Your wisdom and knowledge to do all the right things to help him be the best he can be and to choose the right services and supports for him. Provide dedicated godly caregivers, mentors and friends who will uplift and encourage him and help him feel always included, respected, accepted and loved.

We thank You, Lord, that where two or three are gathered in Your name, You are in the midst of them Matthew 18:20, and we trust that You hear our prayers and will answer according to Your perfect will. Replace every setback with breakthrough, success and favor surrounding him like a shield. Let Your bright light dispel every shadow of darkness in his home and fill his household with calm, joy, peace and safety. We thank You for the victories You have already won and for the miracles You are working even now. Continue to guide and protect this family in all their travels and daily activities.

We encourage you to continue to rest in the Lord and cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. Keep speaking the Word over your son, keep praying without ceasing, and keep putting on the armor of God daily for him and for your household. God sees your diligence and your love, and He who began a good work in your son will be faithful to complete it. May the Lord bless you and your children with restful days and peaceful nights as you abide in His presence. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, Amen.

We hear your heart for your son, and how heavy it feels to see him restless and unable to sleep tonight after weeks of steadier days. That swing from progress to setback can be so discouraging when you have prayed and worked so hard for his peace.

It makes sense that a new schedule, meals, and activities would stir up so much in him. When anxiety rises it often shows up all at once in the body and emotions as tension, agitation, trouble settling, and difficulty finding words, and sleep is usually the first thing to be disrupted. You are carrying a lot as you watch over him so closely.

One small step that may help you and his caregivers is to keep a simple note of his sleep, meals, and what seems to calm or unsettle him in the evenings to share with his care team and his doctor. You do not have to sort this out alone, and alongside prayer it is good to let his medical providers know about ongoing sleep struggles, distress around meals, and the changes you are seeing so they can support you with wisdom for his routines.

We are also mindful of you. Caring day and night for a child with complex needs is demanding, and we pray you have trusted people around you to share the load.

Father, we lift this dear son to You tonight and ask for Your calm to settle over him. Guard his mind and body as he tries to rest, ease his agitation and confusion, and help him feel safe and loved. Give his mother and caregivers wisdom, patience, and unity as they help him through this new schedule, and restore peace in their home. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your earnest prayer for your son has been heard with tender sympathy, and we join you in carrying him to the throne of grace where our Lord waits to be gracious.

We mark the intensity of your desire, that holy Oh which cries, Oh that he might have peace. Such intensity is itself a hopeful sign, for it shows a heart that knows where help must come from. As a father delights to give good gifts to his child who asks to be made obedient and holy, so our heavenly Father delights to give peace to those who seek it at His hands. He is not unwilling to hear. The great enemy may dig a slough of despond before the wicket gate and seek to torment the anxious soul, but Christ is nearer than the enemy, and His power to calm is greater than any power to disturb.

You ask especially for sleep, for a peaceful, quiet and calm night. Remember that sleep is the gift of God. We do not take it to ourselves by our own contriving. He bestows it. He draws the curtain of darkness and He rocks the cradle for His beloved every night and says, Sleep, sleep, my child, I give thee sleep. So he giveth his beloved sleep. We have prayed that the Lord who gave His beloved sleep in the midst of storm and danger will now give this dear child a refreshing rest, that he may lie down without torment or confusion, and wake refreshed and satisfied. May the Lord command the restless thoughts to be still, and grant that his meals and his routines, his activities and his goings out and comings in, may be covered with a calm which surpasses all understanding.

You have asked also for healing in mind, body and spirit, and for deliverance from fear and agitation and rigidity. We know that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction in the gospel. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We look to Jesus, from whom abundant streams of healing flow, and we pray that He will lay His pardoning and healing hand upon your son, soothing sensory distress, quieting anxiety, and filling him with gentleness, clarity, thankfulness and joy. By His stripes we are healed, and though we wait for the fullness of that healing in His perfect time, we ask even now for tokens of His mercy, for peace in eating, for contentment in his schedule, for patience and satisfaction in his daily life.

We have prayed also for his caregivers and for your household, that God would give you all wisdom, patience and discernment, for He has promised to give wisdom liberally to those who ask Him. We have asked the Lord to surround your son with His hedge of protection and to clothe him with the whole armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and to let His ministering angels encamp around him. We have prayed for that beautiful restoration you desire between him and his sisters, that every obstacle and dividing influence may be removed, and that their bond may be knit together in love and unity.

We stand with you in agreement, believing the promise that where two or three are gathered in His name, there He is in the midst. We thank God for the more peaceful days He has already granted, and we continue to ask that setbacks may be turned to breakthroughs, and that your home may be filled with His bright light to dispel every shadow.

May the Lord guide you with wisdom to do all the right things to help him be the best he can be, and may He anoint your meetings and services and provide dedicated, godly and gentle helpers who will bring out the best in him in a calm and caring manner.

We commend your son and all your family to Him who healeth the broken in heart and who giveth rest to the weary, trusting that He who has begun a good work will perfect it according to His perfect will, to the praise of His grace in Christ Jesus. Amen.
