Silas
Beloved of All
Your heart for your son is evident in this prayer, and I join you in bringing him before the Lord.
God sees your affliction and hears your cry. As Scripture shows with Leah, who named her sons out of her pain saying the Lord has looked upon my affliction and the Lord has heard that I am unloved, the Lord sees and hears you and your family now. He knows the restlessness, the anxiety, the confusion, the rigidity, the agitation, and the struggle to sleep and to eat in peace.
We come to God only through His Son. Jesus is not a created being but the only begotten Son of God, and the only way God can accept us is in Him. He that has the Son has life. All other ways are like thieves trying to enter the sheepfold another way. So we rest our prayers on Jesus Christ alone, trusting that by believing in Him we have life in His name.
Jesus showed His power to heal even at a distance when He spoke a word and the nobleman's son was healed many miles away. He also healed the man born blind, and when that man was cast out, Jesus sought him and revealed Himself as the Son of God, asking, Do you believe on the Son of God, and the man worshiped Him. In the same way, Jesus is able to touch your son tonight, wherever he is, whatever distress he feels in body, mind, and spirit.
The heart of our Father is like the father of the prodigal son. That father did not wait for his son to clean himself up, but ran to him while he was still in his filth and covered him with kisses, restoring him to the place of a son. God does not wait for us to be perfect before He shows mercy. He receives us with compassion through Christ.
I pray now for your son. Lord, by the stripes of Jesus he is healed according to Isaiah 53:5. Bring healing to his mind, body, and spirit. Calm every source of physical distress, discomfort, and pain, and ease the sensory challenges, anxiety, and fear that torment him. Replace confusion and restlessness with clarity and peace, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Grant him a quiet and restful sleep, to lie down without disturbance and wake refreshed, and grant him grace to eat his meals with thankfulness and satisfaction.
Surround him with Your hedge of protection and let no weapon formed against him prosper. Clothe him with the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word. Command Your angels to encamp around him and guard him in all his ways, and let every spirit of fear, torment, and confusion bow to the name of Jesus and depart.
Father, give wisdom, patience, and discernment to his caregivers and to you as his mother, to know how to help him be his best. Provide dedicated and godly caregivers who will bring out the best in him with gentleness and calm. Let him adjust with ease to his new schedule and find joy and contentment in his activities, outings, and friendships. Bless his daily routines and relationships with Your favor.
I also pray for restoration in your family. Mend what is broken between him and his sisters and knit their hearts together again in unbreakable love, compassion, and unity. Remove every toxic influence, division, and source of disrespect and isolation that seeks to harm your household, and redirect or remove anything that looks down on his needs. Bring godly mentors and uplifting friendships into his life and into your home, and let your home be filled with Your presence, calm, joy, and safety.
We stand together in agreement, believing Your promise that where two or three are gathered in Your name, You are in the midst, as Matthew 18:20 says, and that You hear according to Your perfect will. Thank You for the victories You have already given and for the work You are doing even now. Let setbacks be replaced with blessing, and let favor surround him like a shield. May he be a light reflecting Your love and grace in all he does, and may he always know he is included, respected, accepted, and loved.
We ask that nothing enter his life and body except what passes through the blood of Jesus Christ, and we declare over him an abundance of peace, joy, and satisfaction in Christ. In the name of Jesus, amen.
