Your faithful love for your son and your persistent prayers for him are seen by the Lord, and I join you in bringing him before the Father in Jesus name.
Scripture shows us a mother who named her sons out of her pain and hope. One she named to say look, the Lord has seen my affliction. Another she named to say the Lord has heard that I am not loved. God indeed sees and hears. He sees your exhaustion and your son's torment and restlessness, and He hears every cry you have lifted for peace at night, for calm at meals, for clarity and joy in his daily activities. He also showed Jacob in a dream a ladder set on the earth reaching to heaven with the Lord at the top. That ladder is Christ Himself, the only way between heaven and earth, the only way God has provided for us to come to Him.
That is why our hope is not in another way or another teaching. Jesus said there are thieves and robbers who try to bring people to God by another door, but He alone is the door. The only way God can receive us is in His Son. He who has the Son has life, and he who does not have the Son does not have life. Jesus is not a created being among other created beings. He is the only begotten Son of God, and God so loved the world that He gave that Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. God is not a man that He should lie, and His Word cannot be broken. He honors His Word, and He invites all to come and drink of the water of life freely. When Jesus found the man who had been born blind and had been cast out after receiving sight, He asked him, do you believe on the Son of God, and then revealed Himself as the one speaking to him. That same Jesus still reveals Himself as the Son of God who saves and keeps.
You can rest in the heart of the Father toward your son. Jesus told of a father whose younger son demanded his inheritance and wasted it in a far country until he had nothing, and then decided to return only as a hired servant because he felt unworthy to be called a son. While he was still far off and still in his filth, the father ran to him and covered him with kisses before the son could even finish his confession, and he put shoes on his feet as a sign that he was restored as a son, not a servant, and called for rejoicing because his son who was dead was alive again. That is the Father's heart toward His children. He does not wait until we are clean enough. He receives, restores, and rejoices. In the same way, Abraham was told to take his son, his only son whom he loved, and offer him, and that foreshadowed what God Himself later did when He gave His only begotten Son for us. The love of the Father for the Son helps us understand how great His love is for us in giving His Son for our salvation and healing.
I pray for your son now that the Lord will surround him with His protection and clothe him with the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and that ministering angels will encamp around him. I ask that every spirit of fear, torment, anxiety, confusion and unrest will bow to the name of Jesus and leave him, and that he will be filled with the Holy Spirit and with peace that surpasses all understanding. May the Lord heal him in mind, body and spirit, for by the stripes of Jesus we are healed, and may He remove sources of distress and pain, so that he may eat his meals with thankfulness and calm, sleep without disturbance, wake refreshed, and find satisfaction and gentleness in his activities and routines. I pray that he will grow in clear and gentle communication without need for negative habits, and that his new schedule and his time with caregivers will be marked by adjustment with ease, obedience, and contentment.
I also pray for you, for his sisters, and for his caregivers. May the Lord give you all wisdom, patience and discernment, and guide you to the right help and services that will bring out the best in him in a calm and caring way. I ask that the Lord will restore and strengthen the bond between your son and his sisters with unbreakable love, compassion and unity, and remove every influence that brings division, disrespect or isolation, especially any influence that looks down on his needs. May He bring godly mentors and friends who will encourage him, and may He let your home be filled with His light that dispels darkness, with calm, joy and safety. We stand together in agreement, believing that where two or three are gathered in His name He is in the midst, and that He hears according to His perfect will. May His Word lead you when you go, keep you when you sleep, and speak to you when you awake, and may the Lord keep you and your children in all your travels and daily life.
