Beloved of All
Your prayer for your son has been heard and we join you in lifting him up before the Lord with thanksgiving for the mercies you have already seen and with hope for what God will yet do.
We have prayed that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, would guard his heart and mind today. Scripture teaches us that peace is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy, and that Christ Himself came to set at peace the things in heaven and on earth. He said to His disciples, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you. It is this peace we ask for your son, not only a quiet outward calm but an inward rest that steadies him when he feels moody, restless, confused or anxious.
You described setbacks, rigidity, fear and distress. We remember that there are different kinds of war, and the most grievous is the war within a person, when thoughts and passions are in tumult. We have prayed that the Lord would still that tumult within him and bring him into a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. Where there is peace, everything finds its proper order, and love and joy can grow.
We have asked the Lord to surround your son with His protection, to clothe him with the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. We have prayed that ministering angels would encamp around him and guard him in all his ways, for each believer has an angel who beholds the face of the Father, and we continually ask for the Angel of peace over those we love. We pray that no weapon formed against him shall prosper and that every spirit of fear and torment would depart in the name of Jesus.
We join you in praying for healing in his mind, body and spirit, trusting the promise that by the stripes of Jesus he is healed. We ask God to bring ease to his sensory challenges, to remove sources of pain and discomfort, to grant him peaceful meals, restful sleep and joyful waking. We pray that his routines, activities and interactions would be filled with calm, that he would be able to adjust with ease and communicate with gentleness and confidence, and that he would know himself to be included, respected, accepted and loved.
We also pray for you, your family and all who care for him, that God would fill you with wisdom, patience and discernment to do what is right and helpful for him. We ask Him to provide godly mentors and friends who will encourage him in a gentle and caring way, and to strengthen the bonds between him and his siblings with love, compassion and unity, removing all division and strife. We pray for your home, that the light of Christ would dispel every shadow and fill it with calm, joy and safety, and for your meetings and services, that God would guide your decisions and anoint those who serve your son to bring forth breakthrough and growth.
We stand together with you in agreement, believing the word that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is in their midst, and that He hears our prayers according to His perfect will. May the Lord who is the maker of peace make you all peacemakers, and may your son be a reflection of His love and grace.
We will continue to remember you and your household in prayer. May the Lord grant you all a restful day today and in the days to come, and keep you in His care in all your travels and daily activities. In Jesus name, Amen.
