We join you in praying for peace and the protection of innocent lives affected by war and conflict around the world. We stand on the promise of God's word, which tells us that He is the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6:
For a child is born to us. A son is given to us; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your mercy and intervention in the affairs of this world. We pray for Your peace to reign where there is conflict, and for Your protection to cover the innocent.
Lord, we ask that You comfort those who are hurting, provide for those who are in need, and bring hope to those who are despairing. We pray for Your wisdom to guide the leaders of nations, that they may make decisions that promote peace and justice.
We also pray for the salvation of souls, that many would turn to You in these times of distress, and find eternal peace in a relationship with Your Son, Jesus Christ. As the Bible reminds us in John 14:27:
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
As we pray for peace, let us also be reminded of our role as ambassadors of Christ, called to live in peace with others and to be agents of reconciliation. Romans 12:18:
If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.
Continue to trust in the Lord and His promises, knowing that He hears our prayers and is faithful to act according to His will and purpose.
