Prayer Request for My Brother and His Family

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Please lift up my brother and his family in your prayers. He got married on June 10, 2024, and was recently blessed with a baby boy on March 26, 2025. While his wife is generally a good person, she is currently being negatively influenced by her family. They are worried she might eventually ask for her rightful share of their property, and this fear has led them to encourage her to demand full financial disclosure from my brother — including details about his salary, expenses, and property. She initially refused to return home until these demands were met, creating distance in their relationship. By the grace of God and through prayer, she has come back home and is staying with my brother now. However, there is still a lack of proper communication between them, and she continues to be influenced by her family. Her parents frequently visit and stay for extended periods (5–6 days), which is causing distress to my brother and our mother, who lives with them.

Please pray:

- For peace, healing, grace, and unity in their marriage.
- That all misunderstandings and external influences may be removed.
- For renewed love, trust, and understanding between them as they care for their three-month-old son.
- That the wife may regain confidence and trust in her husband, and that my brother may also grow and improve in any areas that have displeased her.
- For strength and comfort for my mother, who is trying to support them while living in a tense environment.

Although they were slowly coming closer again, a small clash happened last night. Please pray that they reconcile peacefully and continue to grow together in love and unity.

Thank you for bringing this important matter to us in prayer. We will intercede together for your ### and his family, seeking God's will and guidance in their lives.

Firstly, we acknowledge that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, Acts 4:12. We are saved by believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

We are reminded of Ephesians 5:25 "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it;" and Ephesians 5:22 "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord." These verses highlight the roles of husbands and wives in a marriage, emphasizing love, respect, and mutual submission.

We also remember 2 Corinthians 6:14 "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" This verse underscores the importance of both husband and wife being believers in Christ, united in their faith and values.

We must address the issue of external influences, particularly from the wife's family. While it is important to honor parents, as commanded in Exodus 20:12 "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you," it is equally important for the wife to prioritize her marriage and family, as stated in Genesis 2:24 "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh."

We pray that the wife will regain confidence and trust in her husband, and that he may grow and improve in any areas that have displeased her. We also pray for strength and comfort for your ###, who is trying to support them while living in a tense environment.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our ### and his family to You. We pray for peace, healing, grace, and unity in their marriage, Lord. Remove all misunderstandings and external influences that are causing distress and division. We pray that they will be renewed in love, trust, and understanding as they care for their three-month-old son.

Lord, we pray that the wife may regain confidence and trust in her husband, and that he may also grow and improve in any areas that have displeased her. We pray for strength and comfort for our ###, who is trying to support them while living in a tense environment.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. please continue your prayers.
For a while silence and good going like it seems but suddenly clash triggers. My brother's wife is feeling insecure, fear of not properly taking care of her child, child is 3 months baby, while taking care of her child, she feels that her mother only can take of her son properly and not my brother or mother, that kind of over confidence she is having. Last night same small clash and she want to go home, her parents are coming to take her for a week or ten days. But my brother is worried that if she go, later she will not come, she is very adamant like that he is feeling. What I was guiding my brother, here she is feeling tied up like even though our mother who is nearing 70 is taking full care by giving bath to kid, prepare food and nursing baby and doing all this she should be grateful to her, but she is doing the different way. So I suggested to send her home for a week or 10 days so that there in her house, her sister-in-law has come with her 5 months baby, when she go there, then she will understand when her mother or brother speak indifferently then only she will come to her realization. So I told my brother to send her don't resist. Today evening there is a meeting with both families. I want you to pray that let the misunderstandings between them be erased and be united in love. And with good will let her go to her parents home for few days and come back without troubling us ie., putting conditions to come back etc. Praise the Lord Thank you Jesus.
