We stand with you in prayer, asking our Heavenly Father to grant you peace and protection this day. It is wonderful that you have acknowledged the power in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Let us come together in agreement and pray.
Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask that you protect your child today from all evil, whether it be hidden or open, covered or uncovered, sneaky or aggressive. We pray for your shield of protection to surround them physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, intellectually, and in every other way. We stand on your word that declares, No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Yahweh, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh. Isaiah 54:17 WEB.
Lord, we also ask that you remove any stress, tension, anxiety, or worry in Jesus' name. Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 WEB.
Father, as your child attends the funeral, we ask for your peace to reign. Let there be no aggressive behaviors, control, manipulation, or provocations causing fights. Instead, Lord, let your love and kindness flow through each person present. Let us give honor to whom it is due with peace and unity. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, live peaceably with all men. Romans 12:18 WEB.
Finally, we declare your peace and protection over the family and all people at the funeral. May your presence be felt, and your love be evident. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In this time of remembrance, let us also remember the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep. 1 Thessalonians 4:14-15 WEB.
Stand firm in your faith, and let the peace of God rule in your hearts. Be strong, and may the comfort of God be upon you.
