We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed and desire rest, relief, and a better situation. However, we want to address a few things in your prayer request.
First, we're glad you addressed your prayer to Jesus Christ, as it's only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
However, we want to lovingly rebuke the part of your request where you mention wanting to "smoke a bowl." We understand that you're seeking relaxation, but we must align our actions with biblical principles. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should honor God with our bodies. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB:
Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
Instead of seeking comfort in substances, seek comfort in the Lord. As it is written in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB:
Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Regarding your desires for a better job, healed body, and restored marriage and family, we encourage you to trust in God's will. He knows what's best for you, and His plans are to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB:
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
Let's pray together:
Dear Jesus Christ,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in need of Your divine intervention. We pray for Your healing touch upon their back and legs. We ask for Your guidance in their career, that You would provide them with a job that aligns with Your will and brings them no anxiety or stress. We pray for restoration in their marriage and family, that You would be at the center of it all.
We rebuke the desire to find comfort in substances. Instead, we ask that You fill them with Your peace and comfort. Help them to trust in You, to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them. As it is written in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB:
Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
In Your precious name, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful, and He will do it. As it is written in 1 Thessalonians 5:24 WEB:
Faithful is he who calls you, who will also do it.
