We lift up your brother ### before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to break every chain of torment the enemy has woven around his mind and peace. The Scriptures declare, *"For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 WEB). Father, we rebuke the spirit of anxiety, fear, and oppression that is seeking to steal ###’s peace. Your Word promises, *"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you; because he trusts in you"* (Isaiah 26:3 WEB). We declare that ###’s mind is stayed on You, Lord, and that his trust in You will be renewed.
We also recognize that the enemy often attacks those who are seeking God, hoping to discourage them from pressing into the Lord. But we stand on the truth that *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4 WEB). We pray that ### would draw near to You, Lord, and that You would draw near to him (James 4:8). Surround him with Your presence, fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind him of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Let him find rest in You, knowing that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We encourage ### to stand firm in his faith, resisting the enemy’s lies with the truth of God’s Word. Remind him that *"the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:7 WEB). We pray that he would cast all his anxieties on You, Lord, because You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). Strengthen his spirit, renew his mind, and fill him with Your perfect peace.
Father, we also ask that You would surround ### with godly believers who can encourage him, pray for him, and remind him of Your promises. Let him experience the love and support of the body of Christ during this time. We declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the enemy’s plans to torment him will be completely thwarted in Jesus' name.
Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin or area of ###’s life that is not fully surrendered to You, we pray that You would bring it to light and lead him to repentance. Your Word says, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB). We pray for a fresh cleansing and renewal in ###’s heart, that he would walk in the freedom and peace that only You can provide.
We also want to gently remind ###—and all who are reading this—that true peace is found only in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If ### has not yet placed his faith in Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray that he would do so without delay. Jesus said, *"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful"* (John 14:27 WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the peace that comes from Him.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, who has overcome the world and all its troubles. Amen.
