Yes; pain will sting you, bad things will happen, people will hurt you, and your heart will sometimes be so burdened with heavy loads. BUT GOD offers to meet you in the midst of it. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
(Matthew 11:28-29)
How will you respond to His invitation? Will you call on Jesus? If you do you can expect to experience God's peace even in the troubled times you are facing.
Let's Pray
Dear Lord, I admit that I sometimes fear the unexpected and have not fully trusted in Your perfect will and your ability to deliver me. I know that You see the end from the beginning and that Your thoughts are not my thoughts (Is. 55:8-9). Forgive me for my lack of faith and please teach me to trust in You and Your words so that when the unexpected storms of life comes, I can find peace in the midst of those storms (Mark 4:37-40), and knowing that You are near, You hear my cries, and You are with me and for me.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
The Bible tells us that God will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5b). But this does not mean that bad things won't happen. And it also does not mean that we will never experience pain, disappointment, or even devastation. It means that no matter what we face, God is always with us and His peace is always available to us, whether God chooses to deliver us from the trial, through the trial, or in the trial.
