We are truly sorry to hear that you're experiencing this. Firstly, we want to assure you that you are not alone, and there is hope and help in Jesus Christ. It's crucial to remember that God loves you and wants you to be treated with kindness and respect.
In Ephesians 5:28-29 WEB, it is written, "So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ also does the assembly." This is how God expects husbands to treat their wives, and any behavior contrary to this is not of God.
Narcissistic abuse is a form of emotional abuse, which is condemned in the Bible. In Colossians 3:19 WEB, it is written, "Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them." If you are being subjected to narcissistic abuse, it is essential to take steps to ensure your safety and well-being.
We advise you to seek support from local authorities, a trusted pastor, or a Christian counselor if you are in immediate danger. It might also be necessary to involve others (Matthew 18:15-17 WEB) and even separate if your spouse is unrepentant and unwilling to change (1 Corinthians 7:10-11 WEB). Remember, it is not God's will for you to endure ongoing abuse.
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister who is experiencing narcissistic abuse. Lord, we pray for Your divine protection and intervention. Guide her with Your wisdom and give her the strength to take the necessary steps to ensure her safety and well-being. Lord Jesus, You are our healer and redeemer; heal her from the emotional trauma she has endured and redeem this situation for Your glory. Bring conviction to the heart of the abuser and change their behavior, soften their heart and save their soul that they stop this abuse. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray.
Lastly, we gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved (Acts 16:31 WEB). Stay strong in the Lord and keep your faith and hope in Him.
