Father God, I just pause from the hectic pace of this earthly world to give You thanks and praise for the many ways in which You bless my life. Thank You for opening the door for this new job; it is an amazing new adventure that will allow me to impact other people's lives. Please continue to guide my steps and bless my way according to Your plan. I also praise You for the blessings of family and friends, the recent warmth around the Thanksgiving table...a time to remember and reflect that through all of the times in our lives, You have always been right there. As we begin this time of Advent, I seek Your help in staying focused on the the true meaning of the season. Allow me to block out the glitz and trappings of the retail world and remember what the true gift was...and continues to be. In the precious name of that baby born in a manger who grew to be my Savior and Redeemer I pray. Amen.
