Patience--NOT!!

I hear all this about patience, getting into a better situation, or waiting to get out of a bad one.But I'm not a fan of patience. When most people go back to work on Monday,do you think 99% ofthem "can't wait" for Friday to come again? When someone is getting a dental procedure,do you think they "can't wait" until it's over, or do they wish it would last longer because they're" patient?"Or the same if you're waiting for a good thing, and it's a long ways in the future, and the time seems to be dragging? You would have to be a masochist to hope the time keeps dragging, and doesn't speed up.Come on. It's easy for others not in the situation to pass judgement on those who are.As for,"It will happen in Gods time", remember, God is up there in Heaven ,while you're the one down here dealing with the bad situation, which is dragging on.So I'm no fan of patience. But if you guys, while getting a root canal, hope the session takes 3 hours instead of one, because you're " "patient", be my guest. As for me, I've had enough "waiting" for things,I would like to speed things up if they're to my benefit.Amen.

Wait on the Lord and you will see wonderful things happening for you. Sing songs of praise to Jesus to give you strenght to continue the road that leads to heaven. Perhaps our eyes needs to be washed up from the tears that flow contantly before the Lord. We need cleansing from our soul and the touch of the Master. Just call on Him, He will give you patience and rest in His presence when things does not come as you would like to.

In those of times of waiting are you meditating on God's word? Are you using that time to witness to others? Are you praying? Let God show you how to enjoy the time waiting, enjoy the time with others while waiting, enjoy the time praying, enjoy the time meditating on the word.. and time will pass by..
Meditate on verses that will help strengthen your waiting time just like the verses the encourager has posted
My Job as a truck driver requires patience, it's amazing how God can put you in traffic when it comes to a halt and if your gonna be stuck there for an hour, it becomes pointless in complaining as it just feels longer, but meditating and/or listening to the word of God, makes time go a lot quicker..

No one can escape from waiting in one or other way.
Waiting for God is a must whether one likes or not. Lots of references are there and I mention a few here.
For the disobedience and sins of Nebuchandnezzar, he has to wait 7 times. ( no idea how many years )
Daniel 4: 32
32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.
Daniel 4 : 17
And this judgement came from the watchers and the demand by the holy ones.

Then in Hosea 6 : 2
After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
This also, how many days, months or years, was the waiting period after God's wrath on His people we don't know.

Then in Psalm 94 : 12,13
Waiting period until the pit is dug for the wicked.
12. Blessed is the man whom You instruct, OLord,
And teach out of Your law,
13.That You may give him [a]rest from the days of adversity,
Until the pit is dug for the wicked.

In the case of Job, although He lead a rhiteous life, he had to wait for a long time.
( no idea how many years )

Yet, God is merciful and when we call unto Him continuously He will come to our rescue as the parable Jesus has told us.
Luke 11: 8
8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

Then the parable of the widow and the wicked juge and many other parables.....

So one has to wait upon the Lord for anything and everything whether material or spiritual.
God bless you.

Doesn't mean it's always enjoyable, though, especially if it's to get into a good experience, or to get out of a bad one.{Especially if, along the way, obstacles or dissapointments occur that set back things even further.

Romans 5v4 (king James version)

perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Yeah, but besides waiting, the injustice of it, that these obstacles occur that push it back even further.Like, dissapointments. It's about preferences, if the thing you far prefer to the present circumstances always seems distant, I mean we all have preferences, and would rather things go a certain way than another.I don't see where the Bible says it's a sin to prefer a certain set of circumstances to another.

Thank you Jesus my saviour to all those who prayed for us. My husband's father is still with us, the anxiety is debilitating. My husband is working offshore whilst this is happening. It's a new contract and if he leaves the vessel now he may only be able to get back to work on the next project...
