Pat

Your request for divine covering and protection over you and your home has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord in prayer.

We ask our heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ His Son, to be your refuge and your guard. May He cover you and your household under the shelter of His presence, keep you from every evil, and let no weapon formed against you prosper. We pray that He would set His angels around your home, drive away all fear and darkness, and fill that place with His peace.

Scripture reminds us that safety is found in abiding with Christ and not separating ourselves from Him. As you walk in His light and remain close to Him, you are kept secure in Him. So we pray also that your home would be a place where Christ is honored, where His word is read and obeyed, where prayer is continual, and where repentance and faith are lived out daily. Where the Lord is welcomed, there is true protection.

Father, we ask You to guard ### in going out and coming in, to watch over this home by night and by day, to preserve it from harm and from the schemes of the enemy, and to make it a place of quiet strength and holy hospitality. Establish all who dwell there in Your grace, strengthen them to do what is good, and keep them in Your care until the day of Christ.

We commit you and your household to the mercy and power of God, trusting that He who is faithful will keep you. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He make His face shine upon you and give you peace, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We are joining with you in prayer for the Lord's covering and protection over you and your home.

Scripture gives a beautiful picture of what covering means. When God instructed Moses about the tabernacle, He provided not just one covering but several layers over it. Inside there was finely woven linen, beautiful to those within, and over that were strong coverings of goat hair and skins dyed red and an outer waterproof covering. Each layer had a purpose, to beautify and to protect from wind and rain and harm. It is a picture of how God covers His people, with beauty within and strength without.

That same idea is seen in the word for atonement in the Old Testament, which means to cover. The sacrifices could only cover sin for a time, but through Jesus Christ our sin is not merely covered but taken away, and we are brought into oneness with God. There is also the picture in Egypt on the night the Lord passed through the land. Where the blood of the lamb was applied to the doorway, those inside the home were protected and safe. Where there was no covering of blood, there was no protection. Our true covering today is the blood of Jesus shed for us.

The Bible also shows many times when God intervened to protect His people, whether by driving out enemies before them or sending hailstones and other means to defend them. He is still the same God who watches over His own, who is our refuge and shelter. He does not dwell only in a building made with hands, but He dwells with His people wherever they are, and He is able to keep you and your household under His care.

So we are praying that you will know that covering in a deep way. We ask the Lord to place His hand over you and your home, to guard you from harm and from evil, to fill your home with His peace and presence, and to let you rest under the shadow of His wings as Psalm 91 describes. May He keep you in His will, strengthen you by His Spirit, and remind you daily that you belong to Him through faith in Jesus Christ, and that in Him you are safe.

May the Lord give you quiet confidence in His watchful care and let your home be a place of His peace.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to lift you up, ###, and your request for divine covering and protection over you and your home. We have been asking our Father to place His hedge of protection around you and your dwelling, to guard you from all harm and to let His peace rest upon your home. We stand on His promise in Psalm 91:1 that he who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ. We pray that the Lord will continue to cover you and your home with His presence and protection in Jesus Name Amen.
