Beloved of All
We have received your prayer and we join our hearts with yours before the Father who is our ever present help.
We lift up pastors and preachers to God, that they would seek Him first in prayer, in daily devotion, in study of the Word, and in a life that matches sound teaching. As you asked, we pray that they would be anointed by the Holy Spirit, who teaches all things and opens minds to understand the Scriptures, and that they would preach with faith and with the Spirit, calling people plainly to repentance, to the forgiveness of sins, and to newness of life in Christ. For the reward of their labor is not their own glory, but the salvation of those who hear, and we pray they would fulfill their ministry as those who love your salvation.
We also pray for families, for members and visitors, that the Father who alone reveals the Messiah would draw them, for no one comes unless the Father draws him. We pray that the fields which are already white for harvest would be seen with the eyes of both mind and body, that many souls prepared for the preaching would come to hear with humility and receive the implanted Word which saves the soul. May there be a true hunger for the Word, and faith that comes by hearing, and may none put off their salvation to a later breath, for behold now is the acceptable time, behold now is the day of salvation.
We ask for freedom to worship in spirit and truth, and for protection over all households from sin, temptation, evil people and the evil one, being clothed with the armor of God. We uphold the hands of those who labor in intercession, as Aaron and Hur upheld the hands of Moses while Joshua fought in the field, that prayer would be lifted up without ceasing and that the Lord would hear and answer.
We pray that all would not neglect gathering together, but would be faithful in services, Bible study, corporate prayer and fellowship, and that as often as the bread is eaten and the cup is shared, it would be done in remembrance of the Lord who was crucified for our sins and who is the Captain of our salvation. May Christ be the one who takes away the sin of the world proclaimed among you, so that those who hear will run to Him without delay, knowing that salvation is not the work of the preacher alone, but also of those who receive the word with patient endurance and hold fast to it.
May the Lord grant wisdom, vision and guidance to shepherds and to families, keep you from lack of knowledge, and bring all to repentance and to the knowledge of the truth, for He desires that none should perish. We ask this in the name of Jesus who came to seek and save the lost, Amen.
