This is Anthony C. Allen Sr. Pastor of Salvation Ministry of Jesus Christ B.C. 6066 Evangeline St. here in Baton Rouge La. 70805 my prayer request is that you join with me in prayer. We (church members) are praying that God will financially bless our Church Ministry. For we had to make some cut back on all of our programs here at the church, such as our free breakfast ministry on Saturdays and Sundays morning to the community due to our donation ran out and stop coming into us, our free evening basketball camps for the youths in the community due to the gym entegy bill has gotten too high for us to conitinue to pay the high electric cost, we had to cut back on the days the community children can come and use the computer room to do there after school work and brush up on there computer skills so they will not fall behind in class,and cut some of our clothes closet day, where the community can come in pick out some clothes for them and their family it down to once a week, we had to stop our youth reader program that was done on Sturdays morning that an adult out of the community will volunteer to come and read a book to the young people for one hour, we had to stop driving the church van to pick church member up for church services, for we no longer could afford to pay the insurance on the van, and we are falling behind in our monthly commitment bills as we are partner with another church and need to keep our commitment with this other church or we will face eviction.
We teamed up with another small church this year for VBS so we could have a VBS this year and that went across well this this week.
Pray with me for our neighborhood the violents is trying to creep back into our commmunity, for our community is recognized as the most viotent neighborhood in the state of La. (Brookstown community) just two day ago 8\14 a 15 year old girl was stabbed to death just across the street about 300 yards away from the church, and a week before one street over a young man was shot, and our church was vandalized, so pray with me for our community. I believe God is doing great work in this community for just last week we baptisted four teenagers and has one to baptised. this church is young but i believe God is going to use this this ministry in this community so pray with me.
