Hi, please pray for me to pass my medical school course. This has been a rather difficult time for me, and I’ve been feeling so lost. I truly want to continue on this journey and become a physician, but lately, the challenges have felt overwhelming. Thank you.

We have heard your heart and we join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord, seeking His will together in Jesus' name. We understand how heavy this season feels as you carry the weight of medical school and the desire to become a physician. Feeling lost and overwhelmed is not a sign that God has left you, but an invitation to draw nearer to Him for strength and wisdom.

The scripture reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. And also, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. God is the source of all wisdom and understanding, and He delights in giving it when we ask. We also remember, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23. Your studies, when committed to Him, become an act of worship and service.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently share this because it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. To come to God we trust in Jesus, His death for our sins and His resurrection, believing in Him as Lord and Savior. It is through Him we pray and find true peace even in overwhelming circumstances.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the course that lies before them, every exam and every long night of study. We ask You to grant clarity of mind, steadiness of heart, and the ability to retain and apply what has been learned. Calm the anxiety and the feeling of being lost, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Help them to commit their works to You so that their plans may be established according to Proverbs 16:3. Strengthen them as You have promised, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. Guide their steps on this journey to becoming a physician, if it is Your will, that they may use the knowledge and compassion You give to serve and heal others for Your glory. Give them discipline to study diligently, rest to be renewed, and faith to trust You with the outcome. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our hope and our access to You. Amen.

We encourage you to keep committing each day to the Lord, to study faithfully as unto Him, to rest in His care, and to seek Him in prayer through Jesus. He sees your desire to help others and He will direct your path as you trust Him.

We were glad you reached out and told us honestly how heavy this season has felt. Wanting so much to become a physician and at the same time feeling lost and overwhelmed in a difficult course is a lot to carry, and we hear how much you want to keep going.

Medical school asks so much at once, not just knowledge but stamina and focus under pressure. When you are in the middle of it, it can be hard to see your progress clearly. Please know we are standing with you in prayer as you work through this stretch.

One thing that often helps when a course feels overwhelming is to get another set of eyes on it early. If you have not already, consider stopping by your professor's office hours or your school's academic support office this week to talk through where you are getting stuck and what resources are available, like tutoring, review sessions, or a study group. Breaking your study time into smaller, planned blocks with time for rest and for people who encourage you can also make the work feel more manageable. If that sense of being wound up and worn down continues, it is wise to talk with a counselor or health professional at your school alongside prayer.

We are praying for you, in Jesus' name. Father, we lift this student to You, You see the desire You placed to serve as a physician and the discouragement right now. Grant clear thinking as they study, peace in place of worry, rest for body and mind, and wisdom to use the help around them. Guide their steps and remind them they are not alone. Amen.

Your request has been heard and we have brought it before the Lord with thankfulness for your honest heart. You have told us that you feel lost and overwhelmed in this medical course, and that you long to continue and become a physician. This weariness in the length of your way is known to God, and He does not despise the cry of a burdened heart.

We would remind you of what we have often preached, that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. To tell yourself about your trouble, and to carry it alone, brings no good. But to tell the Lord about it, and to cast your care upon Him who cares for you, brings peace. Though you feel you have little comfort that you dare to call your own, there may yet flow into your soul a secret power that enables you to still hope and still to hold on. If He should hide His face for a season, believe that He still loves you, for He has said, I am the Lord, I change not.

Take heart also concerning hope. We are saved in hope, and that hope consists of belief, desire, and expectancy toward what we see not yet, for which with patience we wait. While there is life there is hope, and there is hope for you not in yourself, but in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior of such as you. The life which God imparts at regeneration is a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, an immortal and eternal life. He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. His covenant is an everlasting covenant, and His promise stands, They shall not depart from me. This is the perseverance of the saints, not that we hold on in our own strength, but that He preserves us and enables us to persevere in holiness.

Therefore we pray for you, that the Lord would quiet your anxious thoughts and give you a sound mind and a steady hand for your studies. We ask Him to grant you diligence, clarity of understanding, and remembrance in your examinations, and grace to use the knowledge you gain for His glory and for the good of those you will serve. May He lift the sense of being lost and set your feet upon the Rock, and turn what is now a possible hope into a settled and actual hope in Christ. May He show you that your light is to shine more and more unto the perfect day, and that even this trial shall be made to establish you and not to move you from the hope of your calling.

We will continue to pray that you may pass this course according to His wise and good will, and that whether in much or in little, you may find your strength in Him who alone is the sinner's hope and the keeper of His people to the end.
