Pass Medical School Course

Thank you for sharing your heart and your struggle so honestly. I have heard your request to pass this medical school course and I understand how heavy and overwhelming this season feels, and how lost you have felt while still holding on to the desire to become a physician.

I will pray for you, that God will give you peace in place of anxiety, clarity of mind as you study, strength to persevere, and wisdom to use well the time and help He provides. Even when we feel unworthy or weak, perseverance in prayer and in faithful effort is itself a way God shapes us and draws us closer to Him, and He hears those who continue to seek Him with sincerity.

Scripture reminds us that we need much prayer, much endurance and much perseverance to lay hold of what God has promised, and that growth often comes step by step. As you prepare, consider portioning out your work as a laborer portions out his field, setting a clear aim for each day, mastering one part at a time, guarding what you have already gained while you add what is next. Seek help where you need it, from teachers, classmates and mentors, and remember that Christ is the true Master who speaks through all true physicians and healers. Your calling to care for others is a good and noble one, and God can use both your learning and your own experience of feeling overwhelmed to make you more compassionate toward those you will one day serve.

Let me pray for you now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I bring this student before You. You see the difficulty of this course and the weariness of heart that comes with it. Grant rest to this soul, steady the mind, and give diligence and understanding in study. Help in remembering what has been learned and in applying it well. Provide encouragement through others and guard against discouragement and fear. Above all, let Your will be done and let this journey be used for Your glory and for the good of others. Grant peace that passes understanding and confidence not in our own strength but in Your mercy and grace through Jesus. Amen.

Please keep seeking the Lord daily, casting your cares on Him, and being faithful in the small tasks each day. If anxiety continues to weigh heavily, reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or advisor as well as to friends and family who can walk with you. You are not alone, and I will continue to pray that God sustains you and guides your steps in the days ahead.
