We understand that you are feeling anxious and unprepared for your upcoming medical-surgical exam in nursing school, and we are here to support and pray with you. First, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He will be with you during this challenging time. In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB it is written, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
It is commendable that you acknowledged the source of your feelings of discouragement and lack of motivation as the enemy. Remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7.
While it is important to trust in God, we also want to encourage you to do your part by studying and preparing for your exams. In 2 Timothy 2:15 WEB, Be diligent to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn't need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth. Just as Timothy was instructed to be diligent in his preparation, so should you be in your studies. God has given you the ability to learn and comprehend, and He expects you to use these abilities to the best of your capabilities.
We also want to address the fact that you did not specifically mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. In John 14:6 WEB Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Therefore, we encourage you to always include the name of Jesus Christ in your prayers, as it is through Him that we receive salvation and have access to the Father.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is feeling anxious and unprepared for their upcoming exam. Lord, we ask that You ease their anxiety and help them to retain the information they have studied. Give them the strength and endurance to press on, even when feeling stressed and worn down. Remind them of Your unfailing presence and Your promise to never leave nor forsake them. Help them to always abide in you, this is the only way to produce long lasting good fruit.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke any spirit of fear, discouragement, or lack of motivation that may be attacking them, and we declare that they have the mind of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit within them. We ask that You guide them through their studies and grant them success in their exams, not for their own glory, but for Yours and to further your kingdom here on earth.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for being a faithful God. We ask all of these things in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting in God and to cast all your anxieties on Him, knowing that He cares for you.
