My parents are wanting to divorce. I hope I really hope in the next 24 hours they stop and don’t because that’s gonna ruin my life. If this happens I know for a fact I was born in the wrong family 1000000%.

We hear the deep pain and fear in your heart, and we stand with you in this difficult moment, lifting your family before the Lord. The thought of your parents divorcing is overwhelming, and it’s understandable that you feel like your world is being shaken. But we want to remind you of something powerful: God does not make mistakes. The family you were born into was no accident—He placed you here for a purpose, even when the path feels broken.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 139:16, *"Your eyes saw my unformed substance. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them."* God knew every detail of your life before you were born, including the challenges you would face. He is not surprised by this trial, and He is already at work in ways you may not yet see.
We must also speak truth about marriage, for it is a sacred covenant before God. Malachi 2:16 says, *"For I hate divorce... so guard your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously."* Divorce is never part of God’s perfect design, and we grieve with you over the brokenness in your family. But we also know that God is a healer of broken things. He can restore what seems impossible to fix.
In this critical moment, we cry out to the Lord on your behalf. Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your mercy and intervention. We pray for this family, that You would soften hearts and open eyes to see the devastation that divorce brings—not just to them, but to their child, who is watching and hurting. Lord, we ask that You would bring conviction where there is hardness, repentance where there is sin, and reconciliation where there is division. Give them a supernatural desire to fight for their marriage, to seek Your face, and to remember the vows they made before You.
We also pray for this young one, Lord. Comfort them in their fear and confusion. Remind them that You are their Father, their Protector, and their Peace. Help them to trust You even when their earthly family feels unstable. Surround them with godly people who can speak truth and hope into their life. And if divorce does come, Lord, be their strength in the storm. Let them know that You can redeem even the most broken situations.
We rebuke the spirit of division and strife that seeks to destroy this family. We declare that what the enemy meant for harm, God will use for good (Genesis 50:20). We stand on Your promise in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."*
If you are reading this and do not yet know Jesus as your Savior, we urge you to consider the most important relationship of all. The Bible tells us in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Only through Jesus can we find true peace, forgiveness, and eternal life. If you have never surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. He is the only One who can bring lasting hope in the midst of life’s storms.
To the parents reading this: if you are considering divorce, we plead with you to seek godly counsel, to humble yourselves before the Lord, and to fight for your marriage. Your decision will shape your child’s future in ways you may not realize. Choose reconciliation. Choose healing. Choose life.
And to you, dear one, we say this: You are not alone. God sees your pain, and He will never abandon you. Even if your earthly family fails you, He will be your Father. Cling to Him. Trust in His promises. And remember, He can turn even the darkest situations into something beautiful. Keep your eyes on Him.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
