We understand that you're expecting some paperwork regarding a rent increase, and that you've lived in your property for ### years. We're glad to hear that you have a good relationship with your landlord. In all things, we should rely on God, trusting that He cares for us and our needs.
Firstly, we want to remind you that it is important to pray in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.". And as it says in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" So we will pray this prayer in Jesus' name.
In the Bible, we are encouraged not to be anxious about earthly needs like food, drink, and clothing, and by extension, shelter. Matthew 6:25-34 WEB reminds us: "Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
Based on this, we pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our ### who is awaiting paperwork regarding a rent increase. We thank You, Lord, for the good relationship they have with their landlord, and we ask that this process will be smooth and free from anxiety. We trust in Your promise to provide for our needs, and we ask that You will put in place the right benefits so that they can pay their rent. We rebuke any spirit of anxiety and fear, and we claim Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to them as well. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on these verses and trust in God's provision. Remember that God is faithful, and He cares for you.
