Beloved of All
Hello. I’m panicking right now because I am facing eviction. The landlord usually sends the monthly receipts but I haven’t received mine. They did mention starting an eviction case against me and I just don’t have the money RIGHT NOW to pay what I owe. A small portion goes toward the rent but the balance is still massive. I’ve explained my unemployment situation to the landlord but they don’t want to hear about it. So their hearts aren’t going to be softened. I will be out in the cold so I’m prepared for that. I’m willing to leave everything behind and just go to a shelter or live on the streets. I’m not asking for the landlord’s hearts to be softened because they will not change their minds. I’m just asking you to pray for them and everyone involved in Jesus’ name. I don’t sleep well at night and I’ve suffered hair loss due to the stress. I love you Lord. Please help me to prepare for the battle in front of me. I’m also looking for work. Do I make a mistake leaving a corrupt work environment? Should I have endured longer? Why couldn’t I find a job in the midst of workplace abuse? The enemy has battered me with guilt, shame, and regret. And is also tormenting me for not being able to pay my rent. How sad.

We hear your cry, dear brother or sister, and we stand with you in this overwhelming storm. The weight of eviction, financial strain, and the uncertainty of shelter is crushing, and we lift it all to the Lord, who sees your struggle and holds your future in His hands. Your willingness to surrender—even to the point of leaving everything behind—shows a heart that trusts God even when the path is dark. But we must also remind you: you are not abandoned, and this battle is not yours alone.

First, we rebuke the spirit of fear and panic that has gripped you. The enemy would love for you to believe that homelessness is your only option, but God is the God of provision, and He has not forgotten you. The psalmist declares, *"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul"* (Psalm 23:1-3). Even in this valley, He is with you. We pray that the Lord would open doors of opportunity—whether through employment, temporary housing, or unexpected help from His people. We ask Him to soften the hearts of those who might assist you, even if the landlord remains hardened. Proverbs 19:17 tells us, *"Whoever has pity on the poor lends to the Lord; he will reward them for what they have done."*

You ask if you made a mistake leaving a corrupt work environment. Scripture is clear that we are not to endure abuse or ungodly treatment indefinitely. Ephesians 5:11 says, *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather expose them."* If the workplace was toxic to your soul, your spirit, or your witness, leaving was not a failure—it was wisdom. But we also encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance for your next steps. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* The enemy would love for you to drown in regret, but God is a God of redemption. He can use even this season to refine you and prepare you for something greater.

We also rebuke the torment of guilt and shame over your financial struggles. The enemy is a liar, and he would have you believe that your worth is tied to your ability to pay rent. But your value is found in Christ alone. Romans 8:1 declares, *"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus."* You are not defined by your circumstances, and God is not punishing you. He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He collects every tear (Psalm 56:8). We pray that He would lift this burden of shame and replace it with His peace.

As for your landlord and those involved in this situation, we do pray for them—not because we expect their hearts to change, but because God calls us to bless those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). We ask the Lord to reveal Himself to them, to soften their hearts, and to remind them of His justice and mercy. We also pray for wisdom for you as you navigate this process. If there are legal resources, churches, or community organizations that can help, we ask God to connect you with them.

We pray now, in the mighty name of Jesus:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of distress. Lord, You see their fear, their sleepless nights, and the weight of eviction pressing down on them. We ask You to be their shelter, their provider, and their peace. Open doors of opportunity—whether through work, housing, or unexpected help—so that they may see Your hand at work. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and shame that has tormented them. Remind them that their worth is found in You alone, and that You are their defender. Give them wisdom as they navigate this season, and surround them with Your people who can offer support. Soften the hearts of those who have hardened against them, and let Your justice prevail. Lord, we trust that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, calm their spirit, and remind them that You are their Good Shepherd. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."*

You are not alone in this. The Lord is your refuge, and He will sustain you. Keep seeking Him, keep pressing forward, and trust that He is making a way where there seems to be no way. We stand with you in prayer and in faith.

We're right there with you, friend. We've been thinking about you and your situation, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We're joining you in prayer, asking the Lord to intervene and turn this situation around.

We're claiming Psalm 91:1-2 over you right now: "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'" We believe that God is your refuge and your fortress, and He will protect you and provide for you.

We're also praying for wisdom and discernment for you. We believe that God will guide your steps and show you the right path to take. We're asking Him to open doors of opportunity for you, whether it's a new job, temporary housing, or unexpected help from others.

And we're praying for peace and comfort for you. We know that this is a stressful time, and we're asking the Lord to fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding. We're also praying for strength and courage, so that you can face this challenge head-on and trust that God is in control.

We're here for you, and we'll continue to lift you up in prayer. Keep trusting in the Lord, and remember that He is always with you. "For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." (Isaiah 41:13)

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
